Working in the team who is responsible for the below settlement functions for one of the top five Investment Bank of U.S.

Pre and Post Settlements (Fixed Income Derivatives)
Process Details -
Working with leading Investment Bank to confirm fixed income derivative product trade i. e. IRS (Interest rate swap) and CDS (Credit default swap). There is continuous exchange of mail. Working on trade confirmation document, Resolution of discrepancies whenever amount discrepancy in trade by providing calculation. Liaising with Middle office and Front office for the correct booking of trade.
Present Roles & Responsibilities
•Ensure timely confirmation and settlement of derivative trade ( IRS & CDS)
•Responsible to settle trades before their respective deadlines & guiding team of 5 people in their work derivative settlement.
•Handling settlements with Big Investment Banks, Red listed IB’s, small institutions and critical clients.
•Confirming client’s Standard settlement Instructions (SSIs) and uploading/updating the same in case of requirement as per client’s request.
•Having Knowledge of Swaps Wire and DTCC Applications.
•Settled trades through DTCC as well as outside DTCC.
•Successfully handled queries with respective counterparties on various kinds of discrepancies.
•Maintaining daily back up of processed trades.
•Successfully handled quarterly derivative settlements rolls.
•Preparing daily reports escalating Critical and high priority issue.
•Providing training to the new joiners to improve their efficiency in understanding of process.
Extra Activities -
•Providing process trainings to new joined or junior employees.
•Coordinating with Team members and Management to discuss new challenges, issues and escalations
•Managing and tracking leaves of the team members to ensure required BAU is available
•Logged process improvement ideas to minimize processing time and to making the process more efficient
