Roles & Responsibilities - Network Security Engineer
o Managing & implementing Palo alto & Fortinet firewall o Configure security policy, profiles, NAT, VPN on Palo alto & Fortinet firewall. o Generate security baseline reports for endpoints and servers. o Maintain & forward firewall and network logs to Splunk. o Configure and upgrade from old catalyst access switches 3800 to 9200 & 9300 series switches. o Configured cisco ISE port based 802.1x & MAB on printers & IP Phones o Configure cisco AP's using 9800WLC and updating the AP's on all floors. o Performed POC for any new device and test. o Involved in securing LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructure. Developed/ maintained updated documentation of network infrastructure, procedures, policies related to network design and security. o Responsible to manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure containing Nexus 7k & Nexus 5548UP. o Resolved network related issues routing, switching, wireless AP's & WLC's and network securities. o Conducted site survey to assess customer requirements related to network and design the BoQ for customers o Configured vPC on nexus 7009 switches in data center for high availability and throughput o Performed scheduled upgrades on cisco ISE, switches & routers o Collaborated as the primary POC between the support team and engineering to help identify & troubleshoot 90%of issue. o Familiar with Dynamic routing using OSPF, EIGRP & BGP o Build technical solutions to mitigate identified security vulnerabilities. o Assist in testing & evaluation of new technologies and security controls o Responsible to provide off-hours support as necessary to support network to ensure network is up all the times
o Handle project work from start till the end which includes, Survey of the site to understand users need, recommendation of scope of work, delivery of equipment, supervise the project, coordination with project team and vendor to make sure project should go smoothly and should finish within the time lines. o Prepare scope of work and manage implementation of network infrastructure in coordination with vendors and other stakeholders o Prepare implementation plan whenever any upgrade or changes are due to the network environment by using change request system.
