Highlights :
• Successfully functioned on the latest Olefins Plant, producing 800, 000t/yr of ethylene and 200, 000t/yr. of propylene through hydrocarbon cracking furnaces, charge gas compressor, ethylene, propylene and methane compressors.
• Actively involved in handling DCS alarm management project enabling the Panel Operator to make safe decisions in the event of any process change in the year 2006.
• Played a fundamental role in preparing a training program to develop the knowledge of new operators in Safety Standard Procedure (SSP) leading to a certified qualification in the year 2005.
• Acted as Wash Oil Tank Project Coordinator, thus responsible for contractor input and the issue of work permits, along with safety monitoring and communication by means of all units related to pipe tie-ins in the year 2004-2005.
Key Responsibilities :
• Efficiently gaining extensive knowledge and understanding of various hydrocarbon processes comprising of distillation, reaction, vaporization, condensation and hot/cold along with vacuum service equipment encompassing boilers, furnaces, compressors, turbines, dryers and towers.
• Serving as a skilled and qualified trainer in normal and emergency start-up/shut-down procedures for seamless functioning of activities leading to optimal growth chart of the organization.
• Instrumental in developing a plant major turn-around ‘Blind List’ to record and control all blinds utilized to isolate plant equipment, ascertaining enhanced installation and confiscation of blinds in terms of easiness and accurateness.
• Effectively evaluating drawing and design of plant construction in conjunction with bench list, inspection of plant processes, piping and equipment to ensure smooth functioning of the operation in an efficient and effective manner.
• Proficiently working as a Console Operator in the DCS TDC3000 series and actively contributing in the pre-commissioning and start-up activities for the latest Olefins Plant constructed by ABB Lumus to consistently chart out short and long term strategic objectives with corresponding milestones.
• Keeping a track of repair work performed, thus auditing logbooks, notifying immediate superiors of possible anomalies or technical emergencies and taking requisite corrective measures promptly.
• Spearheading the whole gamut of Operations Section activities pertaining to day-to-day actions, break down and scheduled activities along with troubleshooting to ascertain smooth workflow, whilst assuring strict adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
• Functioning as Training and Development Coordinator, thus liable for imparting HSE training to employees and contractors, thereby identifying additional training needs and professional skills highlighted in performance appraisal systems and training plans to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
• Submitting monthly data of performance parameters to the senior management, along with proposals to eliminate bottlenecks in maintenance. Suggesting possible avenues of improving the process/ safety procedures at the plant.
• Keeping abreast with latest technological advancements and utilizing the potential of the same to respond to the distinctive needs of the organization.
