Whist working as Senior accountant / assistant finance manager, my major responsibilities include:

•Assist to supervise and manage the Accounting and Finance Department which includes ensuring the accuracy of book keeping, finalizing and reviewing the management reports, ensuring compliance with IFRSs and SAMA regulations.
•Assist in reviewing monthly, quarterly and statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRSs and SOCPA.
•Coordinate the planning, forecasting and budgeting process between product lines and the finance department.
•Assist in review and sign-off on all Balance Sheet reconciliations, submit to senior management for final approval.
•Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual SAMA Forms and ensure timely submission to senior management and SAMA.
•Preparation of quarterly and annual performance report and ensure submission to senior management on timely basis.
•Coordinate annual and quarterly audits with external auditors.
•Liaison with other departments especially IT and other external software consultants for the implementation of new accounting software for life and non life business.
•Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
•Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
•Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
•Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
•Provide technical support and advice on management accountant
•Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
•Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
•Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
•Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
•Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
•Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
•Support month-end and year-end close process.
•Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
