• Responsible for the daily production activities from Reclaimer to Cement Mill.
• Conducting heat and mass balances.
• Periodical calculation of specific power and fuel consumption in order to improve the plant efficiency.
• Maintaining the daily production report, energy and power reports.
• Planning for production in weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
• Inventory control of all the materials.
• Supervising all the operational parameters of the entire plant and advising the operators and shift supervisors in order to extract the full capacity of the equipments.
• Periodical monitoring of the pollution control equipments.
• Carrying out activities to reduce the down time of the equipments.
• Improvement of the efficiencies of the equipments.
• Shutdown activities and supervising the refractory activities in kiln and preheater.
• Co ordinating with maintenance dept, quality dept and quarry dept to carry out a smooth operation of the plant and to reduce the stoppage time of the equipments.
• Specialist in Vertical Roller Mill.
• Pre Commissioning Checks of all the FLS supplied equipments.
• Checking and correcting the BID before submitting the BID for FAT test.
• Performing FAT test along with automation team before approving of the interlocks.
• Checking all the instruments in the field along with the P&ID diagrams.
• Commissioning (first time load trial) and optimisation of the major equipments like Kiln, VRM, Cooler, Burner and its auxiliaries, Ball Mills and HRP.
• Optimisation of the entire cement plant - Tuning the PIDs to run the plant in auto mode.
• Performing audit of cement plant and making heat balance and calculating specific heat and specific power consumption.
• Obtaining the performance guarantee for the supplied equipments.
• Trouble shooting - After sales service.
• Documentation of all the protocols for the no load trials of the supplied equipments.
• Making of complete report on the commissioning activities and the performance test done on a project.
