● Essential Functions:
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Strategic, tactical and operational quality planning.
- Design and implement quality system to support the core activities and check that all working is according to written procedures.
- Maintain document assurance and control systems and make Validation of New and Existing Methods.
- Upgrade SOPs as per Egyptian and International standards and identify the needs of new standards or update ones.
- Plan, control and manage quality control and assurance operations in addition to lab activities (Microbiology and Chemistry sections), Sampling Plan, and Packing Integrity in the plant and of all finished products to ensure their matching with the established standards.
- Ensure that all Quality and Lab SOPs are up to date, implemented and followed. As well, Provide methodologies and results to validate the processes, and Ensure Regular Calibration of all quality measuring equipments.
- Troubleshooting of daily production deviations and ensure that all in process control and standard operating policies are implemented and followed in the processing, filling, warehouse and loading areas.
• ISO and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance:
- Develop, implement and maintain the company’s quality assurance system according to ISO 22000 & ISO 9001, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements.
- Manage internal audits, third party audits and action plans.
- Control processes of production, manage deviations and trend analysis of all activities and incidents.
- Prepare the activities to maximize production in reference to quality standards.
- Preparation of monthly report for all of the departments in quality assurance & control and production to ensure ISO and GMP compliance.
- Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with all of the departments and ensure delivery as per departmental goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance system.
- Initiate and sustain daily quality meeting and management review meeting.
- Directly supervises quality team including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.
• Materials:
- Check requirement to supply chain as per production plan and manage the quality related issues.
- Proceed for the suppliers evaluation procedure and approve the supplier.
- Set and approve the specifications of all materials and products to be used or manufactured.
- Release or reject all incoming materials and finished products
- Check inventory level as per requirements.
• Safety:
- Ensure safe working conditions by implementing safety practices and taking precautionary measures against hazards and accidents.
- Check and review maintenance situation in accordance with maintenance orders and action plans.
- Rodent & Insect control.
• Customer Complaints:
- Investigate and adjust Customer complaints (SAP-CRM), Examine Root causes of the Problems, and Achieve corrective actions for solving them to avoid reoccurance and increase Customer satisfaction.
- Handle Customer queries and suggestions and make comprehensive report of findings in order to study them and meet their expectations to assure we are on the right track.
• Training:
- Develop capability of quality team; highlight relevant quality-related training needs; ensure that required initial and continuing training of quality personnel as well as others is carried out and adapted according to need.
- Training of officers and managers as per departmental goals and objectives to provide effective communication.
• New Product Development:
- Monitor new product introduction, validation and develop the testing methods to ensure proper quality and compliance requirements
- Product specifications of new products.
• Financial:
- Determination of Quality Department Budget, CAPEX and COGS, plus develop mentoring system with finance.
● Essential Functions:
• Manage Quality Department Operations; Develop and update quality control and assurance operating procedures; schedule quality sampling plan and oversee laboratory operations (Chemical & Microbiological Sections) and testing to approve/release all raw materials and finished products (SAP).
• Organizing audits of food safety management systems according to the national and international specifications, standards, legal requirements and regulations using ISO 9001, 22000, GMP and HACCP principles.
• Set-up and maintain quality department objectives and coordinates them with the plant manager and company's strategic goals to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
▪ Measure the effectiveness of the system through audit, report on quality issues and action plans plus following up and communicate relevant indicators for quality and food safety.
• Work on the creating private labeling products and development of documents through the establishment of procedures and forms and records of the international standard ISO 22000 is also the work of auditing and take the decisions necessary to develop and improve the company's quality systems.
• Implement, Assure and follow through Inspection and Product Traceability criteria and procedures in order to apply product safety, product quality, factory audits or product specifications.
• Monitor Food Flows and Food Production Processes. Conduct spot-check analysis, gather records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• Control of laboratory samples and the interpretation and maintenance of certificates of analysis.
• Update and maintain all documentations of ISO & HACCP quality standards and ensure adherence for them, in addition to make sure of hygiene practice, environmental monitoring, GMP and pest control at the plant.
• Devise quality policies inline with Group Philosophy and business needs.
• Audit, follow up and train all managers, supervisors and sales team members in retail outlets.
• Communicating with vendors to follow up and coordinate cases in regards to quality assurance standards.
• Implement the strategies to follow up and organize with marketing, purchasing and import depatements.
• Develop novel technologies, product formulations and balancing of product formulations to reduce complexity.
• Implement processes and techniques in the factory for smooth manufacturing.
• Develop products and processes keeping in mind the consumer relevant benefits and affordability.
• Coordinate consumer evaluation activity and support the factory for problem-free manufacturing.

• Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all research, development and quality operations.
▪ Monitor and advice on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards.
▪ Define and ensure the implementation of accurate methods and sampling plans to the products, raw materials and packaging materials to guarantee finished products and process safety and conformity.
▪ Manage quality control, microbiological and chemical standards on all final products to ensure its matching with quality standards and governmental set rules and policies, and take the final decision in releasing/blocking them (SAP).
▪ Develop, implement and maintain the company’s quality control and assurance system and operating procedures according to ISO 22000, 9001, HACCP and GMP requirements.
• Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct the research and quality control programs designed to ensure continuous Quality consistency with established standards.
• Effective in Organizing Quality Assurance & Control activities; responsible for chemical and microbiological analysis of the crude product and the final product to ensure access to the specification. As well, conduct monitoring, control and measurement of the production lines to ensure that there is no any deviation from the specifications.
• Maintain up to date specifications for all finished products, raw materials and packaging.
• Prepare scientific files of new products including their compositions, properties, indications, dosages, adverse effects and contraindications.
• Prepare and implement standard operating procedure (SOP) and physical & chemical analysis procedures to be activated in quality control and quality assurance of raw materials and end products according to ISO & HACCP principles requirements.
• Responsible to ensure that quality system documentation is done according to ISO requirements as well as Formulate and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
• Coordinate consumer evaluation activity and support the factory for problem-free manufacturing.
• Act as the main contact with certification bodies.
• Organize and follow up with purchasing and production teams, and Mentoring marketing and scientific office activities.

• Prepare scientific and legal data according to the statutory requirements and regulations for registration.

• Execute projects with the end result being new or improved products.
• Manage and support for all project tests and new item start-ups.
• Investigate medicinal effects of raw materials and plan new formulations.
• Responsible for researching, extraction, and examination active constituents isolated from variety of medicinal plants and biological sources.
• Prepare monograms and physical & chemical procedures for analysis of raw materials and new formulations.
• Control of laboratory samples.
• Analyze results and evaluate the pharmacological actions and potential uses of materials and/or formulations by carrying out a series of in vivo & in vitro experiments.
• Allocate tasks and ensure their timely completion.
• To keep in touch with all the latest developments in QC and to keep pace with latest technologies and developments.
• Motivate, lead and control the compact team of QC personnel.
