• Provide leadership to the General Contractor in the construction of the project through technical expertise and diplomatic persuasion.
• Witness contractor’s quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed accord-ing to the applicable codes, standards, and approved drawings and specifications.
• Witnesses all testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities to assure contractors’ compli-ance with the approved plans and procedures. Reviews tests results generated by the independent test agen-cies and approves those complying with the specification requirements.
• Identifies and makes recommendation to electrical design issues during construction. Identifies and reports on discrepancies in original design or in contract documents which necessitate contract modifications.
• Reviews contractor’s electrical shop and as-built drawings, quality assurance procedures, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, Operation and Maintenance Manuals and approves and/or coordinates approval of same.
• Reviews and approves electrical equipment and materials as per contract specifications.
• Review cost proposals and applications for payment submitted by the Contractor for Electrical work.
• Verification of electrical items submitted for invoice billing or Work Estimates are justified. Determine percent-age of work completed for electrical trades and design disciplines.
• Clarifies the requirements of the Contract Documents for the Contractor via responding to RFI’s and Letters.
• Assists Contractor with local electric utilities MV/LV and telecommunication systems, work permits, witnessing and inspections, and documentation such as permitting, relay coordination, energization procedures on all as-pects of tie-in work for new equipment, cables, or additions to existing systems.
• Perform conceptual and detailed estimates of potential changes to the project’s Electrical work.
• Verify the accuracy of Prices and Quantities included in the Contract Documents for Electrical work.
• Coordinates with other discipline and Client’s End User Departments.
• Initiates and prepares electrical related letters, memos, NCR’s and correspondence.
• Responsible for implementing Electrical works with high quality standard, safety requirements in compliance with the standard operating procedures, programs and regulation in general.
• Experience in installation of 1600/2400 KVA transformers, Bus way system, switchgears, MDB, motor control centre and distribution panels including cable pulling, termination, testing and commissioning.
• Responsible for Preparing Invoice for the Works.
• Responsible for preparation of Variation order and approvals for the same.
• Experience in preparing submittals, procurement, and verification of Materials are as per project specification, BS (British standards), SASO and IEC (International Electro Technical Commission) standards.
• Experience in design verification panel board schedule, cable size calculation and load installation.
• Experience in installation testing and commissioning of the Lighting system, Power system, HVAC power system, EIB Lighting management system, Central Emergency monitoring system.
• Experience in installation testing and commissioning of the low current systems such as Fire Alarm System, Public address and Clock system, Panic alarm system, Alarm monitoring system, Access control system and CCTV system.
• Experience in the installation testing and commissioning of the communication systems such as Intercom system, structured cabling system (Data & IP Telephone), Audio visual system, Smart class room system, floor boxes in the raised floors of computer labs, Building Management system, DC system, and UPS System, isolators and disconnect switches, MCC for the HVAC-Air Handling Units.
• Experience in Preparing Shop drawings as per project requirements and codes and standards.
• Verifying BOQ, project scheduling.
• Managing site supervisor and foremen’s for the Electrical & communication works.
• Prepare estimates for the advance procurement of electrical materials.
• Prepare work schedules and perform direct supervision on site.
• Prepare shop drawings and draft electrical plans using AutoCAD software.
• Ensure quality and safety of all electrical & communication works.
• Coordinating with the consultant for electrical & communication works.
supervising all Electrical and Low current works.
Preparing shop drawing.
Preparing material request.
Preparing the monthly invoice for the works Executed.
Performing inspection for the works Executed.
Coordinating with Other department to ensure the works are done based on requirements of other discipline.
• Responsible for Electrical designs of Power layout and Lightning layout.
• Assisting 5 Auto Cad Operators on basics.
• Reporting to the Sr. Electrical Design Engineer on day-to-day basis.
• Visiting the sites with site Engineer frequently & talking steps to execute.
• Also involve in designing of HVAC Ducts by taking assistance with Mechanical Engineer.
• Involve in the company meeting with delegates.
• Preparing the Load calculations.
