Provision of 2nd and 3rd line IT Support to local companies in accordance with SLAs. Duties include:
Managing and maintaining Windows servers and Cisco switches
Administration of network infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, FTP, Firewall)
Solving network related issues in a timely manner
Vulnerability scanning ensuring reliable network security in place
Configuration and maintenance of hardware, network infrastructure and database to maintain robust security and ensure smooth operation of infrastructure. Also, finalising drafting of all IT policies for ISO 9001 accreditation and upgrading of reporting system from legacy Visual Basic 6.0 to C#. Duties included:
Administration of servers on VMware (user administration, group policies & security permissions management, network drive mapping, DFS, AD, DNS, DHCP, FTP)
Configuration of IP phones
Administration of Altitude uCI 7.1 and script development for local and international campaigns
Provision of IT support to staff and customers
Ensuring regular backup of servers using Veeam Backup & Replication
Creation of an Excel tool using VB and SQL to enhance the reporting platform for clients
Management of Linux server for administration of ClearOS firewall
As an IT Manager on a part-time basis, I have to ensure the availability of applications and network infrastructure for staffs in the office as well as stores around the island. In addition to, I am setting up an online shop for the company to facilitate sales through credit cards locally as well as internationally. I am also in charge for implementation and modifications of the various sites hosted for the company. I have to ensure that all equipment and software being used are up-to-date. On a routine basis, I am responsible for providing IT support to staffs.
As a BI Project Manager, I was responsible for the implementation of ION (Intelligent Open Network) on client application platform. I also worked on Cognos Report Studio, providing reporting tool for customers using SQL Server 2012 as database, and HMS (Hotel Management System). In addition to, I was working on application for converting data for a booking switch using xml as programming language.
Started as Network and Security Manager and promoted to IT Manager after one month of employment at BARDO, an Online Payment Service Provider. I was managing the internal & hosted network infrastructure including: firewalls, servers, switches and telephony. I was also in charge of the software architecture within the company, as well as customers’ integration documentations. I also had to interact with customers to design and execute business solutions to meet quality standards. In addition to, I was managing a programmer in Mauritius and heading the IT team in Kenya office having a team leader and a software developer. I was providing analytical and technical assistance to project team as well as IT support to staffs. Moreover, I had to identify and assign resources to IT projects. I was responsible for desktop applications, IT security, telecommunications, procurement of IT equipments and software. My duty was also to strengthen the IT infrastructure through the implementation of new technologies. Moreover, I had to assist in developing project budgets and timelines as well as managing project planning, staffing, schedule and expenses. I have been successfully working on to make BARDO compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) in 2012 and 2013 including the development of departmental standards and ensure that staffs adhere to these standards. On a daily basis, I had to oversee project operations to ensure timely delivery and ensure a 24/7 service of the online payment platform.
I was working as IT Administrator at Shamal Management Services. I was also the head of the IT department. I was responsible for the maintenance of the computers, servers, networking system, server backup and system security. I am also responsible for the maintenance of the company website. In addition to, I was the project manager for the Implementation of Sage Pastel Evolution, a scalable, flexible and robust management tool for growing businesses, in the company. Providing IT support to staff was also part of my job routine.
I was working as a System Administrator at Answerplus. My job consisted of developing scripts using Altitude uCI 7.1 Script Developer, SQL Server and SQL, development and maintenance of the organisation's Intranet Site using SQL Server, SQL, ASP, JavaScript, HTML, DreamweaverMX, Ms Access, monitoring and maintenance of the networking system and computers, as well as monitoring of servers, database and telephony solutions (Nortel) based on Windows platform. I was also responsible for daily backup of the servers, IT support to staff and security of the system in the organisation. In 2006, we upgraded the call centre CRM software from Altitude uCI 6.2 to Altitude uCI 7.1. I was involved in the IT training for the HRDC program.
I was working as a part-time System Administrator at 24 Hour Seven Connections. My duty consisted of the installation, configuration and maintenance of the servers, computers and the networking system based on Windows platform. I was also responsible for providing IT support to staff.
As a part-time System Administrator, my job consisted of the installation, configuration and monitoring of server as well as monitoring and maintenance of the networking system and computers of the organisation.
As an IT Lecturer, I was tutoring computer courses like Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Access, Ms Visual FoxPro, Ms Visual Basic, C++, Computer Aided Design, Networking, PC Maintenance, Java, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Ms FrontPage and HTML, as well as the Pitman Diploma course. In addition to, I was solely responsible for the maintenance of the networking system and computers of the organisation.
As a Trainee IT Consultant, I was involved in the development of a tax website for UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade & Development - www.etaxtool.com) using SQL Server, DreamweaverMX, and involving programming in Visual Basic, ASP, JavaScript and HTML. I was also partly involved in the development of KPMG Intranet Site and KPMG Internet website (www.kpmg.mu) using Photoshop, DreamweaverMX, Ms Access and involving programming in ASP, JavaScript and HTML.
As a Programmer, I was member of a team with the objective to implement a new package CRM (Clarify) for one of the major French telephone operator - SFR Groupe Cegetel, using ClarifyCRM12.0, Oracle9i, JBuilder8.0, Weblogic, DreamweaverMX, and involving programming in Java, JavaScript and XML. I have consequently developed effective interpersonal and communication skills, and a keen interest in working cooperatively with others.

As a Trainee Web Designer, I was involved with the design, development and implementation of Web pages for a number of businesses using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Paint Shop Pro, HTML and JavaScript. My major clients were hotels and bungalows. I was able to appreciate the stages of the product-life cycle in an industrial environment. It was also an excellent opportunity to develop professional standards in my interpersonal and team working skills.
