The Mobile learning supervisor supervised the iPad distribution operation which included estimating the number of new students, communicating with the authorized vendors, iPad storing, iPad distribution, downloading apps and ibooks. In addition to that he has to provide technical, logistical and personal support for students, faculties and staff. He has to create the Arabic teaching and learning content that is relevant for Mobile learning environment.
Some of MLS Student support task and duties:
• Building and recruiting the student team (i Team) to help in the mobile learning implantation and provide them with an advanced level of training to be able to handle the implementation operation.
• Distribute the i Pad to all new students
• Provide full support for students which includes
creating an apple account, downloading apps, synchronizing university email, downloading ibooks, ibag training, istudy training and connecting the iPads with iTunes U courses.
Some of MLS Faculty & Staff and Arabization task and duties:
• Leading and developing projects to create Arabic and learning content using the most appropriate pedagogies, tools and processes for example creating i books, Creating i tunes U Courses, providing Docs and creating supporting Multimedia.
• Provide support and guidance to all colleges, faculty, and students in their Arabization initiatives and work.
• Supporting and promoting a culture shift amongst the faculty to encourage the development and use of innovative Arabized content in mobile learning and learner-centered pedagogies
he SDO plans and implements developmental activities that covers personal, cultural, professional, social, recreational and academic areas. The SDO targets all new first-year and degree-seeking students (approximately 4000 in both semesters) in their transition to University life and college. All new UAEU students are enrolled in a mentor Program to learn and gain all skills needed for a smooth
transition from high school to college life.
The SDO has to encourage and recruit student volunteers to participate and organize on-campus and community activities such as organizing conferences, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, field trips, sport days, student orientations, exchange programs and international trips, school outreach programs, welcome week, annual car shows, global days, and provide volunteer opportunities in the community. Also he has to provide technical information to conduct surveys, utilize feedback from focus groups, activity evaluations, skill diagnostic services and reports, study skills modules, student training dealing with social networks and you tube channels, creating the multimedia publications (Video, Magazine, photos, posters. Etc) and cooperating with PR and media.
The SAO provides administrative, analytic, and technical support for the University General Requirements unit (UGRU). The SAO performs and supervises specific functions including reviewing and maintaining the implementation of university policies, verification of internationally recognized certificates, providing a certified course description for transfer students, dealing with student’s complains and ethical issues, organized the logistics for the registration process for foundation students which includes orientation, training and scheduling 4000 students annually. This includes the drop and add week and early registration, attendance and dealing with CEPA, IELTS, TOEFL exams and certificates. As an SAO I used to deal with complex problems that required full Understanding of university Policies.
(2001 – 2006) Bachelors Degree in Accounting United Arab Emirates University. I completed all business and economics courses such as Marketing, Project management & Statistics in addition to the All courses related to the accounting major.
