• Review contractor’s quality manual, HSE manual, project management plan, quality plan for project.
• Review contractors project co-ordination procedures, and quality documentation are properly distributed and implemented, as well as monitors project procedures are properly followed by relevant functions.

• Preparation and administration of Final Documentation Dossier for project.
• Inspection of all Blasting and Painting works carried in workshop as well as on site at every step.
• Inspection of incoming materials for Painting and Blasting works.
• Inspection of paint compatible with material test certificates.
• Verification of Batch certificates for Abrasives & Paints, Calibration certificates of instruments used to carry out the work.
• Maintaining of weathering monitoring log book.
• Preparation of adequate and accurate record of all stages of work being carried out, materials being used & ambient conditions.
• Coordinate with client and consultant for stage/final inspection by client where required and get clearance from client.

 Working as a third party inspector, independent verification party, and to perform inspectional activities as per required codes and standards.

 Co-ordinate with the Client/Contractor for smooth and efficient execution of inspection.

 Attend site surveys covering industrial inspection and industrial quality maintenance.

 To ensure timely action on any comments / complaints by the Contractor / Client and closing of Field Observation Reports / NCRs, if any.

 Inspection of bare material (Oil, grease and other mechanical defects) before surface preparation.

 Monitoring climatic conditions like RH, AT, DPT, WBT & Surface temperature before starting blasting and during blast cleaning and painting period.

 Monitoring of painting/coating application activities.

 Checking of paint Dry film thickness (DFT).

 Final inspection of Painted structure and locate defects like Sagging, tears, dry paint, pin holes, brush marks and marking of low and high DFT areas.

 Witnessing PQR, WQT, Mechanical Testing and review of WPS as per International Codes and project requirements.

 Material (pipe, plates, fittings, valves) inspection as per project specifications and ASME/API/BS/ASTM Standards.

 Review QC dossiers and revalent documents for test pack clearance. Ensuring quality of inspection to BV quality system. Issuing final inspection report with release note after completion of job as per agreed ITP and approved drawings.

 Ensuring that work inspections are coordinated and carried out to specified requirements.

 To review the Quality Plan periodically, in consultation with Construction / Project Manager and issue necessary addendums.

 Providing necessary assistance for getting approvals from the client for day to day project works.


 Ensure that the Mechanical works are executed in complete accordance with the contract requirements/specifications.

 Ensuring timely inspection and approval of all materials / equipment delivered / completed installations at site by the client and maintain records.

 Review/check As-built Drawings, test & warranty certificates, operation & maintenance manuals and other documents submitted by the contractor for approval.


 Visit the construction site daily to check whether all works, materials equipments are in accordance with QA/QC program, project drawing and specification. When defective materials, equipment or workmanship are found, immediate action to be taken to correct them. And reports the corrective action to the site superintendent.

 Monitoring the step by step fabrication work in progress at the workshop and assembly of the industrial valves along with its auxiliaries as per design, codes and standard.
