MASTERBED is a brand leader on the Egyptian retail market for furniture and bedding equipment.
Managing a factory of 120 workers including 7 engineers in two business units :
1- Responsible for the furniture plant operation (Sofa, mattress, bedding accessories line) :
- In charge of Production planning, Inventory, Maintenance, Staffing, Quality management, R&D and delivery .
- In charge of improving the productivity through Implementing ISO 9001-2008 and implementing lean manufacturing and optimizing product flow.
- Ensures that all items are manufactured in accordance to the Design Specifications and to the Quality Control standards.
- That all machines are programmed correctly, operating efficiently, and at the optimum production.
- Working on Establishing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
- Training sales people on product specification and Train new department supervisors, and assist with any technical problems.
- Ensures That all employees are supervised, effectively trained, and well motivated.
- Plan human resources for production operations, Screening applicants, Interviewing, and Selecting, writing job descriptions.
- That all work and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Approves Machine Investment, Spare Parts and Consumables Purchase and Requisition
- Cooperate with finance Department to Fix a Standard cost and Variable Cost.
2- Started-up a new polyurethane Slabstock production unit :
- Hired and Trained labors and subordinates on the operations of all foaming machinery.
- Managed the Overall preparations for the production process, Applying the most suitable solutions for day to day PU production processes by applying in many cases genuine formulations related to TDI and polyether polyol based foams.
- Developed a variety of foam grades using conventional, high resilience and memory foam .
-Lead productivity improvement actions, increased productivity by 15 % trough :
1. Process reengineering and new flow
2. Implemented 5S and Value stream mapping in the company
3. Trained workers and supervisors on the new process and creat Flow charts and work instruction in the whole plant.
- Setting up new systems for preventive maintenance management to insure continuous production.
-For Dextragroup future factory, desinged the equipments layout in order to optimize production flow and defined new machinery specification
Created an employee training program for appropriate machine use
Built a new system for inventory management to insure continues production
Established a new system for projection of productivity
