• Monitoring of construction/Maintenance and shutdown works carried out by the contractor, ensuring that the scope of work is achieved in accordance with contract requirements, schedule and in compliance with KNPC specifications and standards.
• Ability to supervise all on-stream and shutdown inspection activities for static equipment, plant piping, pressure relieving devices, corrosion monitoring and investigation of failures.
• Responsible for Coordinating daily inspection and maintenance activity and reporting to client.
• Coordinating with inspection, operational and maintenance team to schedule maintenance activities.
• Reviewing lifting plans for heavy and critical lifting
• Reviewing, updating and monitoring of project schedules and works progress status including identifying slippage /areas of concern and suggest action plan for recovery.
• Familiar with Work breakdown structure, Risk assessment and Maintenance planning.
• Review contractor progress productivity and measurements, submitted look ahead schedule report and advising the contractor on trends on possibility of negative impact.
• Participating in regular onsite meetings, interface coordination meeting and other project meeting when required.
• Ensure all piping material equipment’s manpower resources are delivered at site as per approved schedule to meet work order completion date.
• Inspection of piping material, equipment insuring it matches the approved MTC, BOM.
• Coordinate for mechanical completion walk downs with refinery E&S department.
• Carryout mechanical completion walk down along with concerned parties along with contractor and insure the close out of all generated punch points prior to mechanical completion.
• Witness pre-commissioning activities hydro test, flushing, disinfection ( review contractor test package ).
• Coordination with quality control engineers when required for inspection to be carried out as per approved ITPS .
• Monitor and follow up with the EPC contractor and subcontractors construction activities .
• Monitor & Review the construction of piping, equipment, Tie-in activities and advise any engineering and design discrepancies in the field .
• Highlight essential written and/or verbal instructions to the EPC
Contractor and area of concern or general observation such as safety issue, schedule issues, general issues .
• Participate in safety observation rounds, maintain daily contact with EPC contractor key individuals .
• Liaising with engineering and design and EPC contractor regarding technical issues, changes, additions and clarification .
• Support on repair techniques, materials selection, welding procedures, inspection and testing requirements.
• Familiar with NDT techniques UT, PT, MT and RT
• Familiar with all welding and fabrication activities at welding shops.
• Performing walk down to verify completed works and issue punch lists
• Rotating equipment maintenance centrifugal, reciprocating, injection, vane, gear, BLC (barrel) pumps Steam turbines, HPRT & compressors
(reciprocating, centrifugal) valves, fin fans, blowers.
• The ability to read and understand the information on engineering drawings (parts position and orientation, seals orientation, o-ring position, parts material, coupling type, bearing number, etc …).
• Preparing daily report, parts list, BOM as per the isometric drawings .
• Basic knowledge of API (American petroleum institute standards) wear ring clearance, sleeve bush clearance etc ….
• Condition Monitoring and troubleshooting of rotating equipment using SKF MICROLOG.
• Maintain the Equipment history and update on regular bases.
