The role began with an internship as a Power BI Developer, where the focus was on developing operational reports, building dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making. Over a period of six months, there was consistent involvement in two detailed projects that required high skills in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, along with the use of tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate.

The first project, Accident and Injury Management System (AIMS) for NYC Health, USA, involved maintaining dashboards and reports based on SQL Server data. Responsibilities included extensive data cleaning, transforming, and visualizing of incident data. These efforts resulted in the delivery of weekly and monthly MIS reports shared with compliance and safety teams. Row Level Security (RLS) was implemented, and dashboards were published on Power BI Service to ensure access control and scalability.

The second project focused on internal employee onboarding automation. This required the development of custom Power Apps forms and the automation of onboarding workflows, ensuring secure HR collaboration. The project resulted in the creation of real-time dashboards and robust data pipelines to monitor employee status. Throughout both projects, frequent use of advanced calculations, data queries, and a wide variety of visualizations like line, bar, scatter, bullet, heat maps, and tree maps enriched the reporting landscape.
