I have a strong understanding of technical specification, estimation, and Preparation of B.O.Q. Having better knowledge of execution, methods and capable of compiling quantities/estimates on spreadsheets based on drawings and according to specifications & client / consultant requirements.

Responsibilities as a Tendering Engineer:-
§ Verifying and examining tender documents such as BOQ, Specifications, Drawings and scope of works etc.
§ Producing accurate measurements by adopting the rules of measurements using due codes. Identifying & establishing the missing / new items mentioned in drawings or Specs but not measured in BOQ.
§ Comparing and confirming the accuracy of consultants provided Bill of Quantity (BOQ) with our measured quantities prior to submission. Notifying the line manager regarding any large discrepancies which have tendency to affect negatively to project.
§ Discussing & finalizing any pending relevant issues with Snr. Quantity surveyors and bid leaders regarding the quantities measurements, Additional Items or regarding any major changes in addendum / clarifications issued prior or after the submission of the tender.
§ Collate and review all the necessary documents such as BOQ, Drawings, Specification and Tender Clarifications into trade specific sub-contractor / Supplier packages.
§ Issuing of RFQ’s domestically or internationally with the specified subcontractor’s / Supplier based on the tender.
§ Following up for the quotations for the floated RFQ’s & in the mean process clarifying all the possible queries raised by the suppliers.
§ Escalating technically challenging queries further to the consultants.
§ Preparation of the commercial & technical comparison sheets after the receiving quotations & forwarding the same to the bid manager for the approval.
§ Negotiating with the specified subcontractors after the award of the project.

• Preparation of Bills of Quantities.
• Preparation of Monthly Reports and Weekly Reports as per progress.
• Preparation of Monthly valuations as per progress.
• Preparation of Variations.
• Preparation of Sub-Contractor Billing Based on Actual Measurement on site.
• Make site visits to make measurement on site for actual completed works.
• Prepare and submit the take-off sheet and get approval from the Client representative in preparation for the monthly billing.
• Prepare and measure the contractor work for contract documents, monthly payments and final accounts.
• Assessing the contract documentation and valuations.
• Releasing the payments for the contractor as per contract.

Responsibilities as a Procurement Engineer
 Being part of the team in the process of procurement, expediting procurement, execution and implement vendor agreements for projects and estimation dept. within the procurement strategy plan.
 Assisting Procurement manager by sending RFQ's, answering the queries, arranging quotations from company approved supplier / Subcontractor’s list.
 Identification of specialist vendors/suppliers in UAE & Internationally duly following the approved vendor list provided during tender stage.
 Preparation of comparison statements of different quoted suppliers / sub-contractors as per company approved format.
 Assisting the manager in selection of specialist supplier / sub-contractor which duly follows specifications of the project in least possible contract value.
 Negotiation with Specialists, as necessary, and subject to procurement route, to achieve commercial targets.
 Ongoing support to Operations' / Commercial teams as to precisely what has been procured.
 Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in line with company procurement procedures.
 Assisting the Head of Procurement in the implementation of the business plan for Procurement Strategy.
