Position : Qa / Qc Piping Inspector.(Approved Saudi Aramco)
Responsibilities:
Piping Inspector for Fabrication shop & site.
Conduct material inspection lay out &Fit up visual inspection.
Reviewing & going through the P&ID
Check isometric drawings for correct and new revision with approve status.
Check the preparation of fit up, bevel angle rot face & root gap.
Check the alignment orientation & elevation proceed for welding.
Review all documents before starting the active as per project specification or standard.
Verify the identification and tractability of spools and valves, fitting prior to erection.
Review test pack and approval of company specification and procedures.
Checking of line for punch listing prior to hydro testing.
Close all item a before send test pack to hydro test center for testing.
Reviewing of Spool control sheet & releasing.
Witness hydro test as per procedure and specification.
• Reporting to Engineering Manager and Managing Director
• Ensuring the inspection activities are carried out as per British Standard & Saudi Aramco Requirements.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and evaluations for all direct reports, and review the evaluations of indirect reports.
• Inspection of D.I pumping mains installation, implementation of specs for firefighting system
• Ensuring Quality requirements as per contraction phase.
• Approval of document prior to use.
• Maintain quality in accordance with standard and specification.
• Review of document relating to procedure / specification.
• Interface with Client Reps.
• Check if the latest construction drawings are used.
• Prepare daily & weekly report.
• Review Project Requirements, Client Specification & Drawing.
• Carrying out welding inspection (before, during and after).
• Monitoring contractor welding activities.
• Inspection of painting systems & implementation of specs.
• Inspection of Cold & Hot insulation of piping, cladding, Sand Blasting and painting.
• Surface preparation check after blasting prior apply primer coat.
• Check of coat thickness (WFT, DFT) as per maker spec.
• Check of Temperature (wet, dry, dew point, humidity and steel temperature).
• Audit of paint inspection instrument and equipment, storage condition as per Manufacturer’s.
• Ensure inspection of materials as per material specifications.
• Review MDR (Manufacturing Data Report).
• Fabrication, Erection and execution of piping like that CS, SS, and Alloy Steel for different sizes and for structural support.
• Reviewing and going through the P & ID, GA (general arrangement),
• Isometric, fabrication & spool drawings and Pipe support drawing always for each installation of Piping and executed the job as per the project standards,
• Specifications and satisfaction.
• Fully involvement and cooperation in inspection activities also,
• Like quality of piping support,
• Air-Vent & Drain line preparation of hydro testing as per given pressure and DPT.
• Gasket installation and Verification, Bolt tightening, rating, dimension,
• Receiving Inspection on incoming materials and acceptance of materials as specification and project requirement and check the identification and trace -ability of materials.
• Establish review manpower & equipment schedules based on the work assignment
• Ensure correct installation of piping and mechanical equipment based on the approved drawings and project specification.
• Ensure the correct specification identification (such as transference of cast marks and heat number )
• Check for the schedule of pipes, types of materials before the fit up to meet the drawing requirements.
• Inspection of Cold & Hot insulation of piping, cladding, Sand Blasting and painting.
• Day to day planning
• Distribution of work as per planning.
• Arrangement of material and machinery as per requirement on work.
• Receiving Inspection on incoming Materials as per specification and project requirement and check the identification and trace- ability of materials.
• Line verification prior to pressure test in accordance with drawing.
• Controlling the welding of joints according to isometric drawing and checking diameter, Thickness. Drawing Number, Class in welding progress report.
• Quality monitoring on work & arrangement for inspection on work.
• Inspection of Dissimilar metal joining such as stainless steel to carbon steel Non-destructive test.
• Conducted Surveillance on all mechanical related issued and coordination of the Quality Control Dept.
