Projects Undertaken:

•50 m x 3, 105 m Discharge Channel & 80 m x 2, 000 m Intake Channel Dredging Works;

•Concreting Works for Pumping House.
•The Cost of the Project is 377 million USD.
Description of Duties:
•Review method statements to prepare a sound and practical Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) that are compliant to the project specification;
•Maintaining the IMS system (Integrated Management System) to Raising & closing NRI/RFI (Request for Inspection) and Conducting the Inspection;
•Raising MRIR (Material Receiving Inspection Report) for all the Construction Materials & Conducting Inspection of Received Material with the Clients;
•Conducting and Performing all the onshore civil Inspection & supervise for them i.e. Earth Improvement activity (Dynamic Compaction), Soil Improvement (CPT, PMT & Surcharge load Test), Reinforcement & Formwork inspection, Concreting, setting out & Marking of Level for formwork, Block/Masonry work for heavy building structures like Pump House, Transition Structures, DAF & DMF Building, Filter Water System, Chemical Storage Building, R.O. Plant Etc. according to Method of Statement (MS), ITP and relevant Drawing;
•Conducting and Performing all the Offshore Inspection on each activity according to the ITP and Method Statements during the Construction of Breakwaters, Temporary Jetty, Outfall Structure, Seawater Intake Pumping Station and Discharge Transition Structure.
•Prepare and established quality forms and checklist as inspection verifying documentations;
•Establish relevant QA/QC project register for monitoring and traceability of documents;
•Review Request for Inspection (RFI) packages prior to submission to clients engineer for approval/ Inspection;
•Monitor and coordinate equipment and device calibration;
•Review the quality report submittals prior to submission to the client’s engineer’s approval;
•Coordinate and witness in major relevant testing or inspection activities such as trial mix and rocks sampling;
•Task to establish Archive and Filing System in Coordination with the Project Document Controller in preparations for Internal, Client and Third Party (TUV) Audits for ISO:9001 certification;
•Responsible for Materials Receiving Inspection for GRP Pipes Delivered and its approvals;
•Attend, Witness and Liaise during Materials Sampling and Testing for the followings:
•Backfilling Materials;
•Quarry Runs, Toe Materials and Armour Rocks;
•Inspect and ensure Dredging works for Intake Channel & Discharge Channel comply with approved IFC Drawings, Method Statement and Inspection Test Plan;
•Attend, Witness and Liaise during Hydrographic Survey of Dredged Trenches;
•Inspect and ensure Soil Improvement works comply with approved method statement and Inspection Test Plan;
•Attend, Witness and Liaise during FDT Testing (Using NDG & Sand cone Method) for Backfilling Works;
•Inspect and ensure Offshore Pipe Installation works & Steel Structures Works (Installation of Grating, Railing, Cladding Materials etc.) Waterproofing Work for Foundation & Walls and Roof Water Proofing System & Interior Installation for Building’s Tiles, Door, Window, glasses and all accessories according to MS, ITP and relevant Drawing;
•Inspect and ensure for all concrete works of Heavy Precast Structures like Diffuser Structures, Outfall Structures, Oil boom precast block, Petrol Bridge Precast and Manhole etc. comply with approved drawings, approved materials, approved Method Statement and Inspection Test Plan;
•Attend, Witness and Liaise during Hydrographic Survey for approval of Installed GRP Pipes;
•Inspect and ensure Breakwater works comply with approved method statement and Inspection Test Plan;
•To coordinate with construction crew for ongoing civil/structural activities, including but not limited to excavation, backfilling, compaction, rebar inspection, formwork inspection, Field Density Test, concrete pouring, asphalting, etc.
•QC inspection, monitoring quality at every stage of work, controlling site management, attend casting of all concrete works;
•Inspect and ensure Painting Inspection (DFT Test and Pull-off Test for Civil and Steel Structures) according Method Statement (MS), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and relevant Drawing;
•Conducting Handing over project walk down work ECC (Erection Clearance Certificate), SCC (Safety Clearance Certificate), MCC (Mechanical Clearance Certificate), and all clearance certificate raising conducting inspection and closing activities and clearing Punch list item with RFI and supervision and Inspection for them and closing of all item accordingly client requirement.
•Implement the inspection flow system between the construction team, Consultants BPJV and Clients EGA Engineer;
•Assists in the preparation of quality documentation, including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to civil works.
•Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Civil works, and that they are functional and calibrated.
•Advises the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary, raises a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work, and monitors the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.
•Where required, assists the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits, including those of sub-contractors and suppliers, in particular technical compliance audits in their field of specialization.
•Attends and witnesses all Client verification of work (inspection, test and the like) on site, and coordinates close out of any and all outstanding issues related to Civil works.
•Supervised Sub-Contractors construction work activities
•Conduct tool box talks prior to start of every activity like Concreting works, Blockworks works, plastering, tiling works, painting works, waterproofing system, GRC panel installation etc.
•Raising MRIR (Material Receiving Inspection Report) for all the Construction Materials & Conducting Inspection of Received Material with the Clients;
•Develop Project Quality Plan in relation to project specifications & Develop written procedures for quality control/quality assurance
•Ensuring the implementation of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and the Project Quality Plan (PQP) to maintain the quality at the project
•Maintaining and control the quality records for the project through document control section
•Surveillance for the Verification & Checking of Calibrated Equipment & its Certifications
•Take the preventive action in order to avoid the Non-conformities to avoid delays in work and take necessary action to solve any problems
•Coordinate and perform inspection WIR and test activities in accordance with relevant ITP, ensuring that completed work is conformant to relevant specification and approved drawings and ready for final inspection by Consultant
•Responsible for coordinating and managing manpower, material, equipment, schedule, quality assurance and control, contract and safety requirements
•Preparing and issuing monthly reports for all inspection activities at site, issue of quality plans, procedures and forms prompted by quality deficiencies, non-conformances, and client complaints or approved staff proposals to achieve continual improvement
•Ensure the documentation generated by the inspections, tests and survey meets the requirements of the inspection test plan
•Issuing weekly reports of quality issues including Key performance indicators KPI’s
