• GUESSS is an international research project that investigates entrepreneurial attitudes, intentions, and activities of students

KINGSTON AUDIO-VISUAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP RESOURCES AND NETWORK (KAVERN)
The purpose of the project is to:

1. To build a bank of evidence of the activities of entrepreneurs though audio and video interviews;
2. To record their motivations, aspirations, ways of resource mobilization, and achievements;
3. To build case studies of achievement and the ‘odds’ entrepreneurs have to contend with;
4. To provide material suitable for teaching entrepreneurship and innovation, and careers support; and
5. To develop face-to-face and electronic networks to enable entrepreneurs’ personal, professional and business development.

Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the post-crisis world: A review of their contribution, policy initiatives and data challenges
The aim of this literature review was to provide
1) a profile of SMEs in the major economies of the world,
2) Identify the recent trends in SMEs,
3) Discuss the challenges to SMEs within the current economic climate,
4) Summarise the responses by governments to promote SMEs, and
5) Identify the weaknesses in the data when undertaking global analyses and comparisons of SMEs
