• Study and evaluate all ITT documentation including specifications, drawings and the contract.
• Prepare tender information summary for management review.
• Identify and inquire for clarifications and missing information;
• Project pricing; update the resources as per current market rates.
• Complete Estimation using CCS Candy software.
• Study tender specifications and project requirements and determine special conditions that may be ambiguous have unforeseen costs.
• Conceptual design and budgeting.
• Support tendering including bills of quantities, bids evaluation, allocating work to QS for quantity take off, segregation of folders to float inquiries to receive relevant quotations.
• Prepare tender proposal with necessary clarifications qualifications assumptions deviations exclusions.
• Review sub-contractor, supplier quotations to clarify the scope of work.
• Assists the Tendering Supervisor in the compilation of the technical submittals.
• Source suitable suppliers appropriate to project location after negotiation and technical review.
• Estimate accurately each job and review the estimate with other QS and Estimators in sufficient time to permit careful analysis checking of calculations and corrections as necessary.
• Establish and build contacts within the subcontractor and supplier market.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of all quotations, cost calculation sheets, vendor prices and supplier capabilities.
• Co-ordinates with other departments in obtaining specialist advice and input into the discipline related sections of the estimate as required.
• Ensure timely QS documents archiving including estimating reports, cost reports, cost trend reports, variance reports, material submittal etc.
• Attend project meetings and represent all Estimation issues and actions.
• Negotiate and agree on variations for both quantities and costs with contractor/client.
• Prepare tender information summary for management review.
