Mohammed Shabeer Manjiyil

Working as Senior Electrical Site Engineer at 132/11kV substations of Public Authority of Housing Welfare (PAHW) in Mutlaa N5 & N12 districts, Kuwait.

Worked with Shanghai Electric which was the Main Contractor for Supply and Installation of Hawali “H” and Hawali “I” 132/11kV substations owned
by Ministry of Electricity &Water (MEW) - Kuwait.

Worked as Electrical Engineer with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (HHI), Kuwait in two (2) 400/132/11kV substation projects owned by Ministry of Electricity &Water (MEW) - Kuwait, for which HHI is the main contractor. The two substations are Funaitees “Z” and Sabah Al Ahmed “3Z”.

Activities with MEW& Subcontractors.
• Was involved in the preparation of necessary equipment design drawings and also coordinated with our electrical sub-contractors to receive the necessary design drawings of their equipments and accessories.

• Preparation of official letters for submission of Electrical drawings and other related documents (Factory Test reports, Inspection reports etc.) of all the equipments and accessories to MEW Design department for their approval.

• Meeting and discussion with MEW Design department periodically for submission of the necessary drawings and documents for approval and did subsequent follow-up of the approval status for the submitted documents.

• Make regular correspondence with all sub-contractors for all necessary project matters.

• Co-ordinate with the sub-contractors for procurement of their equipments and accessories required in both the substations.

• Co-ordinate with the Testing team at site and ensure that the daily Test activities are conducted as per approved Test Schedule or as per instructions of the MEW Site in-charge engineer.

• Co-ordinate with the electrical sub-contractors and arrange for their staff to visit the substations for any Testing activities requiring their Supervision or to solve any issues related to their equipments/ accessories installed at both the substations.

• Preparation of necessary reports (eg. MEW site punch list, Site memo etc.) at site periodically for submission to MEW/ Sub-contractors.

Site Activities: Supervised Substation Equipment Erection activities under the Site Engineer.

Was involved in the International Contractors Pre-Qualification (P.Q) submission works for various project works in Power stations, Water Distillation stations and Oil & Gas plants.

Also involved in assisting the company in acquiring pre-qualification registration for various categories of services in KOC, KNPC etc.

In addition to the above, my work included searching the electrical equipments from International suppliers and manufacturers for Power, Oil & Gas sectors for submitting the pre-qualifications to MEW, KOC, KNPC and PIC.

Worked as Assistant to Safety Officer cum Supervisor from Feb 2010 to 15th April, 2010 and from 10th May, 2010 to 25th July, 2010 with Kuwait Fire Fighting Co. for Kuwait Reverse Osmosis Plant, Shuwaikh Project under construction by Doosan Heavy Industries, Korea .

Worked as Sales Trainee for Procurement of electrical cables and wires / Accessories for Building Construction works.
