Study and understand the scope of work from the Drawings, BOQ, and specs to prepare the Program of Works
Responsible for supporting project scheduling activities including engineering, procurement, construction, start up and operations.
Scheduling, Monitoring and controlling of projects within the plant with respect to budgeted cost, forecasts & time over-runs to ensure timely execution of the Project
Collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labour hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analysing (critical path, resource and risk analysis), and reporting
Liaise with the site Consultants and Contractors throughout the process, making adjustments to projects as necessary
Chair the progress meetings and track the outcomes & deliverables
Act as a potential link between the Process and Maintenance team & Issue of Work Order to Maintenance teams & ensure timely closure of Work Orders
Follow up with Purchase department for Operational/Project Materials, equipment or manpower requirement & expedite any payment required as necessary with Finance department
Technical Approver for all purchases in the ERP system
Responsible for global project management
Expediting the team for Procurement, Engineering deliverables and Project Execution.
Overall Management of the contractors executing the process plant construction.
Support for plant commissioning activities.
Generates frequent reports to management
Receipt of Scope of Work and Approved drawings from Operations Manager, Detailed study of drawings, preparation of work schedule and release of Work Order to the Shop floor.
Arranging all raw materials and documents (Welding Book, ITP) etc for carrying out the job.
Keep a close track on the work progress and generate time to time reports to the management & Clients.
Preparation of Packing lists and arrange for transportation for final dispatch of the products.
Technical coordination with Engineering Department or clients regarding the various issues / queries during production.
Follow ups and coordination
- Prepare of Work Schedules for the maintenance of Tanks for Takreer, Abu dhabi refinery
- Prepare resource plan and follow up with the Management and Purchase Department for the delivery in time to meet the schedule
- Negotiate with Subcontractors and finalise their prices for various third party activities like inspection, insulation works, cathodic protection, supply of seals for floating roof tanks, Tank Calibration, Out of roundness survey etc
- Technical coordination with the ongoing mechanical projects at various sites in Abu dhabi which are - Refurbishment of 12 Nos Tanks At Abu dhabi Refinery, Upgradation of Fire Fighting System in Ruwais Jetty, Cleaning & Repair of 21 Nos Tank At ADRD
- Technical coordination with the Purchasing Department and the supplier for the Grades of materials
- To hold meetings with Clients and Subcontractors on various aspects of the project
- Frequent site visits to monitor the progress achieved.
- Technical bidding for Tank Maintenance job.
- As a Planning Engineer for Project - ‘Cleaning & Repair of 21 Tanks at Abu Dhabi Refinery’
- Preparation of Plans, Daily reports and Weekly reports using planning softwares for the activities
- To conduct meeting between the Site team on allocation of Manpower and resources in an optimized way to meet the schedule.
- To make material requisitions on time and follow up with the Purchasing Department to avoid any delay of resources at site
- To prepare monthly budgets and to submit monthly invoices to the client
- To motivate the site crew and lead them to achieve good progress on each activities.
- To attend weekly client meetings on various issues of the project
- As a Project Engineer for Project - Cleaning & Repair of 21 Nos Tanks at Abu Dhabi Refinery’
- Handling a crew of 75 Nos including Mechanical, Scaffolding, Sandblasting and painting Supervisors
- Coordination with the site Management and planner for the materials, equipments and manpower required for the various activities planned
- Preparation of Drawings in coordination with Draughtsman for various tank components which need to replaced and finally preparing the as-built drawings
- To Carry out the jobs as per the scope of works and as per the applicable codes API 650 and API 653
- Survey of the quantity of Works carried on remeasurable items and coordinate with the client for the payment of invoices.
- Preparation of method statements before the commencement of each activities and coordinate with the client for approval.
