Key responsibilities as Construction Manager on site for the construction of FGB’s Head Office comprising Shell and Core with two basements and 7 floors.
My role encompassed:
n Representing the Client as the Construction management on site.
n Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on daily site activities.
n Chairing meetings in the presence of the Client, Main Contractor and key sub-contractors and issuing meeting minutes.
n Monitoring the timely procurement of materials and reviewing Consultant comments on shop drawings to mitigate delays in Consultant approvals.
n Managing weekly Contractor meetings.
n Preparing and issuing Weekly and Monthly Reports.
n Interfacing with Local Authorities and Civil Defence.
I was also part of the Management team during the pre-qualification stage for the ID package and was involved in managing the appointment of the Lead ID Consultant.
My role encompassed:
n Reporting and reviewing paternal candidacies.
n Reviewing RFP submissions by ID Consultants.
n Managing all the Consultant requirements and responding to Requests for Information.
n Reviewing prequalification submissions and recommending the appointment of the ID Consultant.

n Managing the Close out, snagging, de-snagging and project End of Defects period

Programme manager for the renovation of 32 branches of HSBC banks throughout Oman,
The contract was let under a design and build contract. The Concept Design for the new branches was prepared via the EC Harris UK team. As Programme manager, I co-ordinated with the design team in order to meet to meet local design codes for Oman.
My role included:
n Engaging and surveying 32 branches with specialist Consultants throughout Oman, capturing information pertaining to Structure, CCTV, IT and Asbestos.
n Coordinating with all Branches managers for team visits and arranging timely access.
n Coordinating with the In-House bank design team to take accurate briefs of their departmental requirements.
n Liaising with the bank IT Manager to finalize IT layouts for branches.
n Preparing and updating Risk Register logs for each branch.
n Managing subcontractors and engaging specialist asbestos contractors to manage/remove asbestos from 20 branches.
n Managing Master and Individual Programmes for the 32 branches.
n Managing Contractors Selection and Appointment.
n Reporting Weekly & Monthly to the Client.
n Interfacing with Authorities and Royal Oman Police (RoP) for approval of final branch designs.
n Design management.
n Procurement Management

As part of a 6 person Project Management Team, I successfully managed the delivery process to achieve completion and timely opening of the 5 star Rosewood Hotel. I gained valuable high end fit out experience which was in the finishing stages. During this time, I managed and interfaced on a daily basis with both the hotel operator, Main Contractor and Sub contractor.

With more than 200 rooms, my key responsibilities included:
n Managing the Design Process for Fit out works.
n Coordinating with the Main Contractor and his sub-contractors on site.
n Managing the Sub- Contractor on site.
n Updating Weekly and Monthly Reports.
n Managing Safety on Site with the HSE Team.
n Interfacing with Authorities ( AD Municipality, ADNOC, Civil Defence).
n Management of the Snagging and De-snagging Process.
n Management the project Close Out process.

• ERP Project for Family Development Foundation (FDF) - Abu Dhabi
This project supplied a turnkey ERP solution for FDF (Study, Analysis, GAP Analysis, Development, Customization and Implementation) to cover the daily operation for all the administration and HR departments in FDF. The following modules were implemented.
• ERP Project for SEHA - Abu Dhabi
This project entailed the upgrading of the ERP system from GP V8 to 10 in all of SEHA, Abu Dhabi. To do this, I undertook a GAP Analysis, customization and collection of master data for HR, Financial, Receivables, Payroll, e-claim.

• Archiving system for Abu Dhabi Municipality
This project entailed archiving the entire land department in Abu Dhabi Municipality (Study Analysis and GAP Analysis). In excess of 21 thousand pages for the department were scanned.
• ERP Project for Sharjah Ladies Club -UAE
This project entailed supplying an ERP solution for the Sharjah Ladies Club (Study, Analysis, GAP-Analysis, Development, Customization and Implementation) to cover the daily operation for all the administration and HR departments.
• ERP Project for National Investment Corporation - UAE
This project entailed supplying a turnkey ERP solution for CBK (Study, Analysis, GAP-Analysis, Development, Customization and Implementation) to cover the daily operation for all the administration and HR departments in CBK.

Project Manager as part of pre contract project management team with Majed Al Futtaim (MAF) for delivering the fit out, completion and timely mall opening. I was responsible for managing the fit out of 49 shop units including but not limited to Paris Gallery, Abu Dhabi Islamic bank, Al Rasasi perfumes, Carrefour, UAE Exchange, McDonalds, Subway, KFC and Chilli’s. All units were delivered on time with attention given to achieving high quality finishes.
Fujairah City Centre is the first shopping mall in Fujairah Emirate and comprises 103 shop units. One of the key challenges I successfully overcame was managing site logistics. My key areas of responsibility included:
n Logistic Planning for 49 Shops
n Monitoring the procurement of MEP materials, securing undertake Consultant timely reviews, approvals and subsequent inspection by MAF.
n Managing daily site activities with the Main Contractor to ensure timely delivery of materials for each of the 49 units.
n Managing 49 contractors to meet the programme milestones.
n Coordinating with the Central Bank to secure final certificates were in place in order for the exchanges and banks to operate.
n Updating the weekly dashboard progress report for MAF senior management.
n Updating a 2 look ahead programme for each unit and reporting to MAF senior management.
n Construction and management of the permitting process from the various authorities in Fujairah Civil Defence and FEWA
