Responsibilities:
a. As a Senior Project Manager responsible for the scope management, schedule and commercial performance of the project to meet the projects goals and objectives with meeting or surpassing standards of quality
b. Market and secures additional work with client. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
c. Plans, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all business, technical, financial and administrate functions of the project
d. Establishes the programme requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the work progress and deliverables in accordance with the agreed baseline.
e. Mobilizes the company resources through liaison with support departments to create an effective Project team capable of performing and completing the project more effectively with in the schedule, budget & quality
f. Reviewing all construction drawings, design submissions, specifications and ensuring the compliance.
g. Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
h. Advising the client as well as the company management about any scope change
i. As per approved change management system, initiating the change request as per the requirement with the consent of client, issuing Change Request in the form of Engineer’s Instruction & maintaining current and timely Engineer’s Instruction (change orders)
j. Chairing Biweekly Progress and Technical Meetings
k. Reviewing & Approving Materials submission, Subcontractors & Shop Drawings submissions
l. Clarifying Technical queries - Request for Information
m. Monitors and reports to client and management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
n. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment their qualifications and strengths and monitoring site works/inspections and taking corrective action as required.
o. Monitoring the Project Budget, issuing forecast to client review
p. Arranging workshops and meetings to resolve various technical/site related issues
q. Contractual Letter correspondence with Contractor & Client
r. Coordination with Quantity Surveyor for Certifications, Variations and Payments
s. Determination/Assessing contractors claims and responding as an Engineer to contractor/ also advising the client.
t. Promoting technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
u. Provides input to performance appraisal reviews and development plans for subordinates for every six months
v. Ensuring strict compliance of Health, Safety & Environment protection requirement as per prevailing regulations
