1- Checking and setting up the anaesthetic machine.
2- Preparing intravenous drugs.
3- Preparing intravenous therapy administration equipment.
4- Preparing a range of devices to maintain the patient's airway (e.g. laryngeal masks, endotracheal tube).
5- Establish peripheral intravenous access.
6- Applying anaesthetic monitoring to help assess the patients' condition whilst under anaesthesia.
7- Inducing and maintaining adequate anaesthesia.
8- Monitoring and maintaining patients' vital signs and anaesthesia depth.
9 Collection and analysis of patient (blood) samples.
