Responsibilities includes: Had been engaged in the inspection, coordination, monitoring, expedition, documentation and review of technical procedures. Experienced in execution of Structural Steel projects for various plants such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Storage Tanks and Pressure Vessels. Expertise in Quality Assurance documentation and procedure review, Quality Control inspections, Welding Inspection / NDT. Various aspects of my assignments include;
Conducting and participation of pre-inspection/kick-off meetings with client and third party inspectors and formulating the ways of inspection at par with the approved inspection test plan (ITP). Inspection of raw material as per procurement order (P.O.) and reviewing of mill test certificate (MTC) and related procurement documents in accordance with applicable code like ASTM A 6M/A6, A 53, A 105, A 234, SA 335, API RP 574, for piping, tubing, valves, fittings etc. and various other specifications. To assure the versatility of some certain raw materials, reviewing and carrying out material Hardness testing and monitoring for the requirement for the lamination test for critical plate components.
Detailing of the shop drawings as per the project requirement, and accordingly inspection of the fit-ups in the in-process stage.
Control of welding process as per applicable WPS & PQR requirements. Have been experienced and well versed with the codes like AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX. Monitoring and expedition of NDT requirements. Preparation of Welding Map, Welding Schedule. While qualified as a Certified Welding Inspector, carrying out welding inspection of all kinds of structures, with the special interest in Vessels, Storage tanks, Ductings, critical crane components etc. as per the related applicable codes and have been well experienced with API 650, API 620.
Familiar with most of the Welding Processes like SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW & Stud Welding for
CS, SS, CuNi, Inconel etc.
Review of Technical Procedures - Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Inspection, Post Weld Heat Treatment, Leak Test, Hydrostatic test, pneumatic test, Welding Consumable Control Procedure, Weld Repair Procedure etc.
Carrying out various kinds of applicable inspections, e.g. dimensional, Straightness & levelness, plumb'ness, peaking & banding for storage tanks, hardness test on metal, HAZ, butt welds and overlays welds for the pressure vessels. Orientation inspection of pressure parts, pneumatic test of pressure parts/ nozzle fittings reinforcement pads, leak test (for storage tanks & pressure vessels), inspection of coupling of fixed trolley girder and mobile boom with the boring inspection of coupling hinges and stays, straightness, parallelness, levelness of crane rail alignment (for EOT/RTG cranes). Review of contract documents to identify any special Quality Control requirements for suitability of compliance. Review and Improvement of Quality Control Procedures to implement various requirements of applicable international standards like, AWS, AISC, API and ASME etc.
Investigation of site mismatches reviewing erection and fabrication drawings and deducing the causes of mismatching, summarization of backcharges.
Process and coating inspection of galvanizing as per ASTM 123, and BS 729, Blasting and painting inspection of steel structures.
Inspection of Insulated structures. Reviewing anchor requirements of heater parts as per various refractory requirements such as castable refractories, ceramic fiber blankets, ceramic fiber modules etc.
Refractory and blanketing insulation inspection for refinery Ducts stack and modules. Inspection of refractory lining for the refinery vacuum heater structures.
Have been well versed with API 650, and experienced in the design analysis of atmospheric storage tank, with the helps of the norms given in section-3. Expedited the fabrication, erection, QA/QC monitoring and inspection. Inspection of storage tanks as per Section-6 of API 650. Have worked with Saudi Aramco Specs. 32-SAMSS-005, for the manufacturing of low atmospheric tank.
Dispatch inspection. Reviewing of dispatch documents. Taking preventive action to safeguard the finished material to be shipped / dispatched. Coordinating with shipping authorities. Dealing with the shipping insurance concerns. Designing of different types of documentation, inspection formats. Preparation of final dossier, shipping documents. Documentation control, updating of documents, certificates & technical data as required by the customer such as NDT Reports, Final Inspection Reports, Calibration Records, and Welder Performance Certificates etc. Review of Final Dossiers prior to acceptance of the product. Entering basic order events into job control system. Ensuring that the expediting guidelines are followed. Quality auditing of QA/QC activities.
Coordinating with clients & third party inspection agencies. Attending to queries from customers regarding quality matters. Identifying the causes of actual or potential non-conformities. Investigation of cause of poor quality of product/service resulting in Customer Complaints/Claims. Suggesting necessary Corrective/Preventive measures to minimize the Product Non-Conformities.
