➢ Frequently engage with Packaging materials and Automotive
vendor’s management to expedite critical supplies and in some
cases to plan for large or unusual requirements based on the
business urgencies.
➢ Influencing the suppliers by lending expertise to developing
strategies to increase cost reductions, savings, providing out of the
box solutions which can turn the impossible to reality
I was responsible for developing and
maintaining business relations with both local and international suppliers.
Generated appropriate procurement strategies and handled complex
or non-routine assignments and special projects, which required
in-depth analysis and/or purchasing actions. Roles & Responsibilities
included:
➢ Developing appropriate sourcing strategies and utilize the knowhow
of purchasing systems / procedures to effectively manage suppliers.
➢ Participate in major procurement actions which require a high level
of purchasing expertise. Track purchase order placement and
delivery time and take corrective actions such as counselling the
supplier in case of low delivery performance.
➢ Initiate purchase orders and / or long purchase agreements for the
supply for materials and services; type of purchase agreements,
direct delivery agreements, low value agreements, vendor
managed inventory. Experience with sourcing suppliers for
purchased goods with an annual value of apprx. SR. 185 Million P.A.,
negotiating contracts including annual maintenance contracts,
blanket agreements and bulk pricing agreements.
➢ Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the
negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
➢ Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity
beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
Procurement - Imports
Liaison with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders
and record sales orders information. Carrying out market research
and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and
awareness.
➢ Participate in major procurement actions which require a high level
of purchasing expertise. Preparation of client Invoices, and manage
the well-timed delivery of invoices, groundwork of sales records, and
good understanding of sales procedure, Process sales orders &
responding to the dealer enquiries by sending the quotations.
➢ Prepare estimations and quotations for customers to prospect new
business. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing
customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
➢ Negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales. To fulfill
responsibilities to client, company, department and co-workers
showing initiative to increase customer satisfaction. Evaluating
marketing campaigns, and monitoring competitor activities.
➢ Maintain customer sales records, Prepare weekly sales reports,
activities and revenue reports. Follow through timely and accurate
month-end closings and Sales reporting activities.
