• Responsible to develop, implement and manage processes to ensure Malaysia Airlines (MAB) is in compliance with Civil Aviation regulatory requirements globally.
• Design, amend and implement SOPs or work instruction for the Department with consultation with various Business Units to achieve regulatory and industrial standards.
• Manage, develop and implement standards and procedures in accordance with foreign regulatory requirements to ensure that all required State approvals are obtained in a timely manner to protect the schedule integrity of the airline.
• Analyze, evaluate and provide recommendations with regards to proposed changes to the regulatory requirements as required by amendment to all regulatory documentation.
• Liaise with various divisions within MAB as well as Regulatory and Associated Bodies to provide interpretation and guidance on current and proposed regulation.
• Generating passenger revenues through effective sales strategies and promotions.
• Represent Malaysia Airlines in the posted countries and maintain/enhance relations with corporate and leisure accounts, multiples and other corporate business related to the airlines.
• Strategically develop and deliver revenue for Malaysia Airlines maximizing the return from the existing market whilst identifying and penetrating new markets where appropriate.
• Accountable for the strategic direction of Malaysia Airlines Corporate, Leisure and Trade sales and for defining the optimal way to increase sales by recommendations for routes, timings, aircraft types and other product developments.
• Formulate and implement the station sales strategy to maximize short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sales and generate channel shift where appropriate with effective marketing strategies.
• Effective relationship management with other airlines, trade bodies, government and civil aviation authorities and the general public in building Malaysia Airlines as global brand, increasing industry esteem and establishing ownership of the market space.
• Managing overall Station’s sales and marketing activities, airport operations, finance management, human capital and other administrative matters.
• Plan and direct activities of the three (3) key operational units within In-Flight Operations namely KLIA Operations, Line Operations and Aircraft Interior Cleaning (AIC) as to achieve the strategic objectives of the Division.
• Direct the completion and execution of operational changes, improvement and new products and services while coordinating instruction to caterer/service provider and other related department and monitor the progress of implementation to ensure operationally viable as per operation standard and procedure, and SLA (including FOCA operations).
• Identify, analyze and rectify issues related to in-flight operations and AIC and recommend mitigation plans as to minimize disruption to operations while controlling operation expenditure by implementing processes improvement initiatives / projects
• Responsible in performing service quality and enforcement audit within the Company that related to customer experience from various touch-points.
• Communicate, capture and update report on business units corrective and preventive action plans to ensure complete and timely audit report closure.
• Reporting to Head SQAE on the results and outcome of non-compliance and/or service breakages
• Head of Station for Malaysia Airlines Office in Dubai.
• Managing overall Station’s sales and marketing activities, airport operations, finance and accounting management, general administration, human capital and other administrative matters.
• Developing, formulating and monitoring the implementation of effective Business Plan, Marketing & Sales Action activities to meet and exceed KPIs set for the Station.
• Driving Station’s efforts to focus more in regaining market share, increase revenue from front-end traffic, improve sales from various distribution channels and secure more corporate business for the Company.
• Identifying and addressing key and critical business issues to drive better impact on Station revenue and route performance.
• Actively involved in identifying and developing revenue potential for the Station through joint collaboration with various business partners i.e. Tourism Malaysia, GSA etc.
• Consolidating and preparing details monthly report on Station’s performance to Regional Senior Vice President for respective Region.
• Preparing and evaluating Station’s annual budget, monitoring the cash management at the Station which includes accurate reporting of daily and monthly sales collection and Station’s monthly expenditures within the approved budget.
• Responsible in human capital management i.e. staff recruitment, yearly staff performance management etc.
• Provide assistance to Station Airport Manager as and when required on daily operations at the airport
• Head of Station for Malaysia Airlines Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
