In 201 1, Atkins was appointed by Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP) for setting up of new entity called the Central Planning Office (CPO) within MMUP as consultant for achieving the goal of world class infrastructure for FIFA 2022 World Cup and beyond. Played key roles in traffic and transport assessments of proposed as well as existing infrastructure projects and made recommendations for improvements, some of which have already been implemented on ground. Was responsible for co-ordination with modelling team to create new modelling scenarios/outputs which were required for the capacity assessment based on the client or stakeholder's request. Review of VISUM/Saturn Modelling outputs, junction capacity assessment for different scenarios, preparation of drawings, checking of services and utilities with respect to any proposed mitigation, preparation of technical note to record the capacity assessment outputs, preparation of short and crisp presentation to present the assessment and proposal for meetings with the Minister of MMUP.
