Key Performance:
1) Act as Team Lead to communicate, track and manage data networks.
2) Hands on experience in Routers and Switches troubleshooting and suggesting proactive action plans by analyzing the logs.
3) Raise CMR and proceed on changes in weekends analyzing vulnerabilities and setting standard configuration defined.
4) Proactively Monitoring the health of global WAN and LAN infrastructure by observing alerts from HPOV, NNM, X Manager, CWM15, Cisco works and WUG monitoring tools.
5) Assist Designing, Improve, Planning, integration and operation of multiservice Network Infrastructure.
6) Providing technical direction and leadership to the team members on day to day basis as well as schedule training sessions for the newly joined.
7) Performing basic network installation, node and CPU utilization tracking, router configuration, network troubleshooting and resource growth planning.
8) Participating in daily monitoring and maintenance of all related hardware and software-based systems.
9) Respond to detected and reported problems and interfacing with vendor support service groups to ensure quick resolutions and appropriate notification during outages or periods of degraded.
10) Coordinate resolution of production network issues. Perform initial research and diagnostics of network issues and use the trouble ticketing system to open, update and close trouble tickets.
11) Maintained effective communications with peers and end-users in support of assigned projects.
• Configuration of VLANs, VTP, trunking and inter-VLAN routing on switches.
• Configuration of STP on Cisco switches with different modes of STP like MSTP and RSTP with advanced STP features like BPDU guard, root guard, port fast etc.
• Configuration of Layer 2 and Layer 3 ether channel.
• Configuration of interior routing protocols like RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• Configuration of GRE tunnel and IPv6 with RIPng, OSPFv3, and EIGRPv6.
• Configuration of route-summarization, redistribution and route-filtering.
• Configuration of iBGP and eBGP on Cisco routers and switches.
• Use of BGP attributes like weight, local-preference, MED, AS-Path and Community.
• Configuration of BGP scalability features like route-reflector, confederation.
• Configuring BGP features like synchronization, network backdoor and dampening.
• Configuration of BGP route-filtering, route-manipulation, redistribution, summarization, policy-based routing and route-maps.
• Configuration of IOS features like DHCP, SNMP, RMON, NTP and NAT (static, dynamic and port-overload).GLBP, HSRP and VRRP for default gateway redundancy.
• Troubleshooting and implementation on the Cisco Switches 2950, 3550, 3560, 4507R, 6509.
• Troubleshooting and implementation on Cisco Routers 1800, 2600, 2800, 3600, 3800, 7200
• Troubleshooting and implementation on Cisco Wireless Access Point 1130, 1131, 1210, 1231, 1232, 1240, 1242, 1252, 1250
• Troubleshooting on Wireless Controllers series 4400, 5500
• IOS upgradation on Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless devices.
• Managing and monitoring Wide Area Networks of clients using network management tools (like CWM 10 & CWM 15, WhatsUp Gold, HP Open View, CISCO WORKS.
• Handling Bandwidth management related issues with the help of tool MRTG and CACTI.
