Role & Responsibilities: -
Material receiving inspections against the P.O, Delivery Note, and MTCs. (Raw Material such as steel Hot Rolled --Coils, Plates, Types of Beam, Types of Bar, Angles, Tube- RHS, SHS, Pipes, & Paints, Chemicals, Wielding Consumable, & Blasting Materials etc.)
Expertized in receiving Fasteners as per Requirement and verifying standards if found any discrepancies (ASTM - A325, 10.9, A307 A, A307 B, A490M, 8.8, 4.6, A563M (CL 10S), DIN934 (CL 8), F436, DIN 125, etc.)
Verifying the approved supplier list for the designated projects and receiving the material in accordance to the P.O, verifying the grades and comparing with the MTC.
Inspect and ensure every receiving items has heat number and Identification mark as per requirement and matches with MTC or other certificates.
Receiving & Inspect Galvanizing material and report to painting Inspector and QC Engineer.
To insure the quality of material received is acceptable as per Q.C. manual acceptance.
Rejection of materials based on tolerance of the material, which is received (EN 10025, EN 10204-3.1- Gr. 50M (ASTM A572), A36, S275JR, S355JR, A53, A500M, SM490B.
Discussing inspection results & conclusions with Q.C Engineer and Purchase Manager.
Preparation of inspection reports such as daily inspection report, MRIR and all related documents
Preparing rejection reports and sending E-mail to QC engineer and to the concern departments.
Responsible to ensure In-processes, Final inspection and Pre -Dispatch inspection of finished commercial products (CRC, CRCG, GI, HRC, CHQ, EGI, PPGI, sheets.)
Discussing coil & sheets inspection results & conclusions with Purchase manager, Sales Coordinator, QC Engineer and Production Forman.
Ensuring that the product’s nonconformance / defects are reported.
Validating MTC for Raw material before offering to the TPI. Raise RFI for Joint Inspection with the Client.
Entering inspection results into a database.
Maintaining daily quality report.
Identifying unsafe working practices.
Dimensional Inspector
Dimensional & visual inspection as per IFC drawing & quality requirement.
Check and ensure that the measuring instruments used during inspection and properly calibrated with valid certificates and stickers.
Inspection of all materials being used for fabrication activities, such as Hot rolled & built up Beams, Columns, Angles, Pipes, RHS, & SHS etc.
Checking for any defects of the product such as holes’ size, holes’ location, holes’ orientation, thickness of pre- assembly, main member, wielding preparation, grinding, cut backs, free from damage, location of pieces etc.
Make sure that job numbers & piece marks compared to the latest release are accurate.
Discussing inspection results & conclusions with production and QC staffs.
Preparation of inspection reports such as daily inspection report, fault identification report and all related documents.
Welding Inspector.
Visual inspection of weld in accordance with shop drawings and approved WPS
Acceptance or rejection welding defects as per acceptance criteria (AWS D1.1 2015 Ad.)
Identifying and listing out the piece marks which required NDT in accordance with project specification and Aramco standards (12 SAMSS 014, 12 SAMSS 007)
To witness NDT Test (UT, MPT, LPT)
Maintaining Documentation of NDT reports.
