My duties as the Country Technology Manager was
• responsible for the strategy, development, implementation and delivery of the IT infrastructure and applications services in country to enable business operations and to create the platform for business growth,
• I assist the CIO by providing vision, leadership and advocacy for the development and use of technology systems, resources, operations and information technology to further the country mission,
• To ensure the business is equipped with the necessary technology solutions for compliance purposes,
• To lead and manage the country technology and CSS teams responsible for all aspects of the banks technology function within a country, Alignment to global IT policies and standards to support local initiatives; developing skills in the country IT team and providing cost effective IT solutions to business thus contributing towards the financial performance, and growth of SCB in the local market,
• prepare all the IT requirements to open the two branches (Baghdad & Erbil),
• Engages in high level discussions with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs (including outsourcing plans) in order to develop fit for country strategies which drives investments,
• Engage with various teams on new initiatives/roll outs, problem resolution, participate in all forums requiring technology presence,
• Manage and address all country technology risks by rising all possible risks & try to mitigate them or eliminate them,
• Country Project Manager, leading all the projects in the country by coordinate with the development team, delivery team, the concerned dept. & the regulators if the project is related to new regulation or mandatory requirements by Central bank,
• Financial Management, Manages and meets the unit's operations budget (including stretch budget targets) and financial KPIs put plan to do saving during the year by providing new solution & negotiate with the vendors to reduce the cost of each service provided by the vendors.
• Manage SLAs with business and operations units for all critical services,
• Managing the country vendors through e-procurement system, by register all the vendors in the system which managing each vendor & their payment, through the system of e-procurements.
Temporary work in the company Branch in Basra as IT Support Engineer for BP Head Quarter & support the remote sites (Rigs & Gas Station related to BP, in addition to do support to other clients like Exxon & Samsung.
for both Head office & Branches of (Erbil, Baghdad & Basra)
• Undertake helpdesk tasks in Iraq branches and units Using HP Service Manager Client to log any service call from end user or any incident,
• Configure and install all hardware in Branches and units following the Banking Technology Division instructions,
• Maintain and ensure set-up of the Bank’s applications on the workstations according to the Banking Technology Division applied procedures,
• Install and maintain all necessary infrastructure components on the workstations (Antivirus, network setup, service packs, Security patches …) according to the Banking Technology applied procedures,
• Ensure first level hardware support on PCs, printers and all materials,
• Interface and coordinate with local suppliers for laptops and printers and with Byblos Bank IT Support for troubleshooting and support, for requesting equipment & internet connections,
• Help Byblos Bank Iraq users define their change requirement when needed,
• Adhere to BT security policies standards and procedures, coordinate with different units in the bank such as (BT, System, Telecom, DB and IS) to give the end user all the help needed to make his job easier & to solve all their problems,
• responsible of the PABX of the Branches to give access & manage the extensions according to the need for each user in the bank,
• I work with Banking Technology Dept. in Lebanon for 5 months before the opening of the Head Office and Branch of Erbil - Iraq, my duties in Lebanon was the IT support for all the Branches in Lebanon I work there with 25 Branches from 73 Branches that belongs to Byblos Bank in Lebanon Change all the Hardware Equipment & their software during the implementation of XP Deployment for all the Branches in Lebanon.
IT Support Officer, ECCI Company Erbil - Iraq
My duties included set up and upkeep of all technical and communications equipment on the job site and offices for 20 users.
Operation Admin, My duties included running life support, doing the daily reports, handling the Petty Cash for deliveries and invoices and also handling all local payroll for Q-West one of the site that belongs to ECCI Company.
My duties was the IT Support for the entire user in all the units of the company participation in establishment of the DBX Expo for Iraq Rebuilding in Erbil for the period (14th - 18th Sep 2005)
