Media Account Manager at OMD
  • Afghanistan
  • My current job since June 2018

I currently work across 2 core clients Google and Levi's and 5 other key clients Mercedes, Barclays, easyJet, Betway and Alzheimer's Research UK charity.
•My role consists of sourcing potential media partners for a campaign in a non-traditional media environment, developing the strongest idea and negotiating the best media value for my clients. I then manage the campaign from ideation through to evaluation working alongside internal teams, to ensure the campaign has met all KPIs.
•I have experience working with various media owners in the print, TV, digital, OOH, audio, radio, influencer marketing and event space. I am in daily contact with these media owners in order to hear about new-to-market product offerings, create proactive proposals and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
•I have managed an array of partnerships and sponsorships across various mediums. For example, I recently created a proactive TV partnership proposal for Alzheimer's Research UK for their Share The Orange campaign. I chose to partner the charity with Channel4 to spread awareness of the cause through recognisable Channel4 talent and TV sets. I worked closely with our internal TV Investment team to ensure the TV spots were negotiated for the best rates and added value where possible. I also approached a mix of influencers to help build the campaign digitally, maximising reach. The client was extremely happy with the proposed media plan and quality of production
•I also manage two direct reports, one Executive and one Graduate. I am responsible for helping them reach their key annual objectives, seek further opportunities for their development plan and provide day-to-day support.

Delivery Executive
  • October 2015 to March 2017

My role involved managing a variety of key clients across the Dairy and Frozen category, including Arla, General Mills, Danone, Birds Eye and Innocent. I worked towards delivering data-driven marketing campaigns, acting as a mediator between Sainsbury's brand governance, the client, creative agencies and in-house CRM teams with the aim of increasing customer brand loyalty.
•I gained experience in negotiating and buying media space with third party agencies, writing succinct campaign briefs, interpreting data and making insightful recommendations.
•The purpose of my role was to instil confidence in clients whilst representing the Sainsbury's brand and marrying the two to deliver a concise shopper journey.

EMEA Marketing Assistant at The Walt Disney Company
  • United Arab Emirates
  • June 2013 to July 2014

I spent a year's placement working as an EMEA marketing assistant in Disney Interactive, liaising with the UK digital and games marketing team and other diverse markets from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
•The main aspect of my role was to implement various global and local marketing strategies for our upcoming mobile app and videogame releases. I was in daily contact with the teams across EMEA to ensure deadlines were met and assets were delivered on time. I had the opportunity to work on various projects including Disney Infinity, Disney Infinity 2.0 and numerous Disney mobile apps and online games.
•I was fortunate enough to solely manage my own projects and mobile apps such as ‘Lost Light' and ‘Bola'. I had to liaise with the team's analysts to gain global weekly impressions and download statistics. With this data I could then create long-term marketing plans, work with Creative agencies to design online marketing materials, ensure the marketing content was localised and regularly update the EMEA marketing teams.
