Material/Office Engineer
UBC (United Building Company.).
Project: Kuwait University Campus Central Utility Plants.
Consultant: SSH international. Duties
include:
• Preparing & updating for material & procurement logs.
• Managing suppliers selection and approval process
• Review and approval of proposed material to be used in the project.
• Calculating quantities, preparing technical & sample approvals, Inspecting and Testing of
material delivered to site.
• Preparation and review of supply agreements, material Requests, bid summaries, LCs,
Purchase orders…etc.
• Preparation and review of Methods statements.
• Preparation and monitoring for site Lab.
• Preparation and monitoring for site Store.
• Site supervision for different site activities (Structural Steel, Precast Cladding,
Roofing…etc).

• Supervising, coordinating and managing civil works in site.
• Distributing manpower, material and equipment as per schedule and budget.
• Insuring that company regulations regarding quality and safety is met.
• Monitoring all subcontractors works.
• Resolving any technical problem that may arise.
• Reviewing shop drawings and specifications prior to work execution.
• Preparation of work and material inspection requisitions.
• Updating monthly progressive payment submitted to client for approval.
• Coordination work among different disciplinarians (electrical, HVAC, …).
• Carrying full responsibility for the execution of steel structure works, precast/Aluminum
cladding, roof cladding work and fire protection works.
• Assisting in the completion of finishing works (Tiling, Painting, …)
• Reviewing and approving subcontractors' invoices.
• Handling all technical office related responsibilities (Technical submittals, Coordination,
Material requisition, Quantity take-off, Proposal preparation).
• Preparation of work and material inspection requisitions.
• Reviewing and assisting in the preparation of the monthly payments submitted to the client.
• Updating work percentage completion rates/dates & progress reports.
• Preparing necessary drawings using AutoCAD to be submitted to the client related to
logistics, technical proposals and surveying works.

• Preparing B.O.Qs and R.F.Qs.
• Designing space frame roofing systems for several projects.
• Frequently inspecting work at site.
• Sales related work.
