Key Responsibilities:
• Leading the implementation of ‘Descartes Visual Compliance Sanctions
Screening’ cloud-based solution by:
- Analyzing business requirements and approving the implementation of
changes to produce functional specifications required to roll out the
software.
- Defining and documenting business processes and vetting guidelines in
coordination with the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Reviewing end users queries and requests while ensuring they comply
with set standards.
- Ensuring application and business transaction performance against
original service level base agreement.
- Training end users on the software and providing post-implementation
application support.
• Applying latest development technologies such as Microsoft Power Apps and
Microsoft Flow, Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• Responsible for the management and development of the “Research Assistant
Portal”, “Medical Research Volunteer Program”, “Oracle User Access Request
Form”, “IT Equipment Management” through:
- Applying project management life cycle, ensuring projects are delivered
on time and with quality.
- Developing web applications using MVC.Net technology.
- Providing continuous technical support on existing applications.
• Managing multiple initiatives in decommissioning legacy applications and
replacing them by university enterprise applications.
• Acting as Faculty IT Manager for the ‘Faculty of Health Sciences’ over two
consecutive years (2015 - 2017):
- Managing IT projects implemented for various departments within the
faculty.
- Ensuring an agile implementation of projects taking into consideration
the expansion of the faculty and accordingly the related IT requirements.
- Determining the most cost-effective IT products, solutions, and
integrations that answer the business and functional requirements of the
faculty.
- Maintaining existing IT systems and solutions operating within the
boundaries of the faculty.
- Identifying technical solutions essential for satisfying the faculty agreed-
upon business needs and enhancing its operations.
