Conduct planned inspections of facilities, equipment, tools and materials including review of
maintenance procedures and record documentation.
• Conduct air quality, noise, temperature, etc testing to ensure legal/policy compliance.
• Implement procedures for incident investigation to determine facts and event
circumstances, determine cause(s) and develop/implement remedial actions and controls to
eliminate or reduce future risk.
• Perform risk analysis/Hazard Operability (HAZOP) and implement loss prevention program
for OCI’s installations and operations.
• Supervise site evacuation safety plans.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in the field of safety and participate in safety meetings
and other awareness programs.
• Recommend updates/participate in revising existing policies to develop new ways to
manage safety concerns at OCI.
• Recommend training requirements on legal requirements and company HSE policy.
• Participate in implementing the policies and procedures applicable to the Section.
• Actively engage with, use and leverage from technology and equipment allocated to unit.
• has the right/authorities to stop the work, and take the necessary action in case if he found unsafe
act/ condition.
• Consistently administer all aspects of accident prevention, fire protection, first aid, and other
safety policies.
• Ensure property, equipment, supplies and material to be used at work sites complies with OCI’s
HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure routine HSE activities and safety controls are carried out to ensure protection of the life
and health of employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure workers are provided with suitable protective equipment.
• Participate in weekly ‘Tool Box’ meeting as per plan scheduled by the HSE training unit.
• Assist the HSE Manager to analyse, report and investigate all all accidents and incidents and issue
preliminary reports.
