Responsible for delivery of local procurement projects linked to plant purchasing Plan as per assigned area.
Undertakes a number of tendering activities to deliver strategic procurement projects outlined in the Sourcing Plan. Provides ongoing procurement solutions to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with ALPLA procurement policy .
Manage evaluation process effectively by ensuring transparency.
Communicate with suppliers in a fair and accurate way.
Undertake tendering price comparisons .
Train stakeholders on procurement policy, procurement journey, and accountabilities within the procurement project setting clear expectation with regards to timeline, roles and responsibilities
• Supervising the implementation of the Purchasing function plans, as well as ensuring their compliance with company rules and policies.
• Support the preparation and submission of Procurement Quarterly submissions.
• Supervising MENA region procurement projects plans, status till completion.
• Publishing & Monitoring MENA region procurement monthly scorecard.
• Directly assessing all activities related to purchases through supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation activities to ensure alignment with BALL policies and ensure a smooth work flow.
• Building relationships with suppliers and maintaining them, and continuously seeking to obtain better deals and contracts to ensure capturing the best opportunities and achieving better deals and quality levels.
• Controlling & Monitor materials inventory level to achieve company cash flow Targets.
• Initiating, managing & Sourcing for Commercial spares parts for MENA Region Plants “Project Savings $1.5 Million / Year”.
• Managing the Localization of packaging materials for Ball Egypt plant “cost savings 2.5 Million EGP / Year”.
• Leading sourcing Qualification process of new source of supply for coating materials for Egypt, India, KSA plants “cost savings $ 4.5 Million”
• Handling all procurement activities during the installation & implementation of 355 SLK CAN production project at Cairo plant “Project budget approx. $6 Million “.
• Handling all procurement activities during the installation & implementation of 330 SLK CAN production project at Cairo plant “Project budget approx. $2 Million “.
•Develop contacts with Suppliers & Maintain the respect of Suppliers and their representatives by adherence to code of conduct and business ethics, corporate policies, procedures and work practices.
•Prepare and issue purchase orders as per the approved quotation summaries.
•Prepare, maintain, and issue Material Progress Reports on a regular basis, which reflect the progress of all purchased equipment & materials.
•Maintain good working relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum use of their resources toward meeting goals.
•Negotiation and selection, pricing/make-buy analysis, contract development, agreement implementation, and supplier performance measurement.
•Prepare and submits purchase orders for supplies.
•Determines if inventory quantities are sufficient for need, ordering more materials as necessary.
•Arranges for delivery, distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
•Examines documents, materials to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
Prepare invoices for touristic companies.
•Follow - up payments from touristic companies.
•Working on OPERA / SACLA systems.
