Supervise, control, and monitor the actual execution of all Civil related works of the project, to ensure that the project is being executed in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications, and all applicable standards.
Duties & Responsibility can be summarized in the following points: -
‖ Abides by the authorities granted to his position as per the delegation of authority structure and any formal changes thereto.
‖ Review and determine clients’ requirements.
‖ Coordinate with all the project stakeholders on a regular basis.
‖ Initiate, review and update the development of a preliminary management plan - project manual for standardized forms, procedures, filing systems and administrative procedures to simplify tracking systems.
‖ Review and approve Structural and Civil Shop drawings
‖ Review and approve Structurally and Civil Material Submittals
‖ Issue Non-Conformity Reports for defective works
‖ Implement QA/QC Procedures as per Manual
‖ Coordinate between the various trades
‖ Generate progress and status reports for the owner.
‖ Maintain a log of all project correspondence - contractual, minutes of meetings, transmittals.
‖ Attend progress meetings with clients.
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies and site investigations;
‖ Developing detailed designs;
‖ Supervising tendering procedures and putting together proposals;
‖ Managing, supervising, and visiting contractors on site and advising on civil engineering issues;
‖ Overseeing the work of junior staff or mentoring civil engineers throughout the charter ship process;
‖ Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers, consultants, co-workers, and clients;
‖ Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems;
‖ Managing budgets and other project resources;
‖ Managing change, as the client may change their mind about the design, and ensuring relevant parties are notified of changes in the project;
‖ Compiling, checking, and approving reports;
‖ Reviewing and approving project drawings;
‖ Scheduling material and equipment purchases and delivery;
‖ Attending public meetings to discuss projects.
‖ Ensuring that a project runs smoothly and that the structure is completed on time and within budget;
‖ Correct any project deficiencies that affect production, quality, and safety requirements before final evaluation and project reviews.
Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, Craftsmen, and operatives;
‖ Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
‖ Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
‖ Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
‖ liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project;
‖ liaising with the local authority (General Authority for Water and Sanitation) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
‖ liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
‖ Day-to-Day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
‖ planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed on deadlines;
‖ Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on-site; preparing reports as required;
‖ resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering (Public) Have the sufficient knowledge base to proceed with any section of Civil Engineering
