• Receive and process job orders from various sales channels (local, supply & install, projects, export).
• Review all drawings and technical specifications.
• Offer technical solutions and recommendations to clients for diverse projects and products.
• Determine for manpower, equipment, and raw materials requirements needed to cover production demand in collaboration with warehouse, procurement, HR, and maintenance teams.
• Develop comprehensive long-term Material Requirements Plan (MRP) and production schedules based on demand forecasts, materials supply rates, and projects timelines.
• Develop short-term production schedules, allocate shifts, and assign workforce considering material availability, machines and manpower status, and orders deadlines to ensure optimal resource utilization, minimum delay and wastage and timely delivery of products to customers.
• Oversee the execution of production plans, directing, controlling, evaluating, and supervising all production operations.
• Monitor production metrics daily, including productivity, quality, machine speed, changeover time, uptime & downtime, manpower utilization, and waste ratios, ensuring alignment with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the production process to minimize delay and maximize efficiency.
• Enhance production line capacity and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Supervise production staff, ensuring compliance with quality standards and achievement of production targets.
• Manage raw material inventory levels and quality via ERP, coordinating with procurement to ensure availability of necessary materials and spare parts.
• Conduct weekly meetings with sales departments to discuss production progress, update schedules and delivery timelines and readjust plans as required.
• Conduct weekly meetings with operations teams to ensure smooth production processes and address any issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Prepare detailed performance reports to assess production lines and machines efficiency against KPIs.
• Generate monthly and quarterly production reports, comparing actual performance with targets and historical data.
• Review and discuss weekly/monthly objectives with the operations manager to ensure alignment and progress.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, administer rewards and disciplinary actions, promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork, and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Approve daily payroll hours and ensure accurate recording.
• Conduct monthly staff evaluations and annual performance appraisals.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards within the production environment.
• Lead quality circles to enhance staff awareness of customer needs and complaints, and provide training on new procedures.
• Supervise the execution of weekly preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
