Leading the team of Lapoire Training Academy and all L&D functions; from analyzing to evaluation. In charge of the creation and maintenance of scalable structures for on-boarding, training, and promoting the growth of 3200 employees across the business’s departments. Working in close liaison with Mystery Shopper companies which measure our product quality and customer service at our outlets.
Conduct and supervise development programs for employees. Assess where training is most needed, occasionally conduct the training or hire consultants, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training provided. Develop and enforce company policies and procedures.o
In charge of all training and development activities developing. Assess the needs of the business, develop training plans, facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the workforce, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs.
Identifies training and development needs in the hotel and devise training and development activities to address the needs
Assists Heads of Department to formulate departmental training and development plans
Plans, implements and co-ordinates off job training activities.
Develops a resource file for training activities, to include external consultants and training companies, materials and exercises
Prepares and monitors training programs for management trainees.
Organizes monthly Team Coach Meetings
Ensures that management are briefed and kept up to date of the training activities taking place in the hotel
Assists in ensuring the hotel fulfils its legal obligations with regard to fire, health and safety training of employees.
Ensures that the training which is carried out in departments is of a high standard and sits in periodically on training sessions to evaluate the quality
Ensures that there is an awareness of training activities in the hotel through bulletin boards, flyers...
Assists with identifying career opportunities for employees and with ensuring succession plans and development plans are in place in all areas
Evaluates the quality of internal & external training programs
Motivate & counsel Team Coaches
Carries out any other reasonable request as assigned by the General Manager
Keeps up to date with trends on the market.
Assists in conducting reviews after 6-8 weeks with new employees
Assists departments in preparing Standard of Performance manuals and skills training checklists
Support the Human Resources department in all activities & recruitment process and sometimes be in charge of HR Department.
Create & implement the Pre-opening Plan.
Set up the training department system.
Following up with Regional Office in Dubai & Brand Support to finalize the pre-opening checklist on time.
Induct, coach, and mentor new Team Members.
Ensure new team members have attended all mandatory brand and departmental training programs, including all training requirements dictated by local law.
Use effective training methods to ensure employees have a good understanding of guest satisfaction and can demonstrate guest satisfaction skills.
Prepare, organize, administer and conduct in-house training courses.
Ensure all training and development activities (department specific and general property training) are strategically linked to the organization's mission and vision.
Manage budget in alignment with Human Resources and property financial goals.
Interact with hotel leaders responsible for people development to provide support to operational departments.
Monitor and conduct learning and development reviews with each department.
