Develop recommendations to reduce hazards by improving gear, behaviors and procedures.
Provide awareness and understanding of all Safety rules and regulations in the Company.
Implement, read and understand the site specific Safety Manual and requirements.
Ensure that Subcontractors operate in a safe manner and comply with the project safety policy.
Carry out regular and random inspection on site and record results.
Maintain the necessary Safety related records and generation of monthly MIS on safety.
Ensure the use and wearing of protective clothing and safety equipment provided.
Ensure the use of the correct tools and equipment for the job.
Report to Project Manager / Safety Manager any unsafe conditions or defects in plant or equipment.
Report any injuries resulting from work activities.
Investigation into Site accidents and analysis of the causes and associated preventative actions.
Ensure the maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
Increasing employee safety awareness by providing comprehensive and consistent training (both regulatory and company mandated).
Ensuring safety team projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Support the project manager at the project in regards to all safety issues at site.
Attend project safety meetings.
Fulfill the sole of project safety manager in the absence of safety manager.
Leading the site safety officers in best safety practices and standards.
Identified accident causes and optimal prevention strategies by conducting thorough investigations and analyses.
