• Collaborate with engineers to determine the specifications of the project.

planning and co-ordination of all manpower and equipment, materials supply, and sub-contracted
services, towards the proper completion of the work on schedule with approved drawings, specifications,
cost and quality limitations.
• Monitors Sub-contractors at each stage of the work to ensure proper compliance with all technical
aspects of the contract through both individual contacts and co-ordination meetings.
• Reviews all Method Statements dealing with prior to issue to the Client.
• Checks and authorizes all claims for payment from all Sub-contractors involved in section of the project
to assure accuracy and that proper contractual obligations are met. Passes them to the Commercial
Manager/Control Manager for payment.
• Exercises strict control over costs of construction particularly the use of Labor, materials and equipment.
This includes reviewing variances from budgeted expenditure and recommends/initiates action to bring
them under control.
• Maintains functional links with other unit heads in the project.
• Makes forward plans in section of the project for the release of equipment and personnel employed.
• Prepare all construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates and assist in the review of
proposed schedules.

Onsite (Green Field):
• Controlling more than (5) team leaders and (45) discipline Engineers in Piping, Mechanical, Civil, E&I.
• Follow up with disciplines’ team leaders all construction activities for the ISBL green field plant, the follow
up include the daily achievements, progress and daily construction issues.
• Provide all required guidance to the main contractor to accelerate the progress to match the baseline
schedule.
• Check that the construction activities are running with comply to the project HSE procedures and
specifications.
• Daily monitoring for the manpower supplied by the main contractors and sub-contractors.
• Follow up the subsystem completion and walkdown.
• Follow up the MC punch list clearing by construction team to get ready dossiers.
Offsite (Brown Field)
Tie-In Scope:
• Follow up the reimbursable scope of Tie-In with existing facilities. The scope includes Civil, Steel Structure,
piping, mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Painting, insulation and fireproofing.
• Follow up with disciplines’ team leaders all construction activities for the ISBL green field plant, the follow
up include the daily achievements, progress and daily construction issues.
• Check that the construction activities are running with comply to the project HSE procedures and
specifications.
• Daily monitoring for the manpower supplied by the main contractors and sub-contractors.
• Follow up the subsystem completion and walkdown.
• Communicated and coordinated between contractor and sub-contractor, reviewed and resolved
conflict between contract and invoices within contractor and sub-contractor.
• Follow up the subsystem completion and walkdown.
• Follow up the MC punch list clearing by construction team to get ready dossiers.
Revamping & Upgrade Scope:
• Acting as Construction Manager for revamping of the existing Desalters with new Desalters to cover all
CORC Distillation Units.
• The scope includes Civil, Steel Structure, piping, mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Painting,
insulation and fireproofing.
• Ensured that work was achieved within the scope of contractual terms and all deliverables met the
project schedule, overviewed and prioritized work as per project schedule and actual progress.
• Ensured that the overall coordination was in place among different disciplines to guarantee smooth
operation and resolve any conflict.
• Coordinated between the vendors, procurement and engineering to ensure smooth delivery of the
package and resolved any cost related issue with the support of procurement and management.
Key Responsibilities as Project Interface Coordinator:
• Planned and controlled the project interface works from design till pre-commissioning to ensure that
implementation was within schedule, cost and technical specifications / procedures as defined in the
contract.
• Monitored the progress of IP completion and sent monthly report to the company CIC for PSAL and IM
and other contractors.
• Maintained historical database till the end of the project, identified and managed interface points, and
/ or related interface issues including the additional Interface points that might have been expected
during detailed engineering.
• Coordinated for obtaining necessary approvals for adding new IP or revising data of IP, among PSAL,
other interfacing contractors and the company, communicated and resolved all interface issues with all
inter related parties under the
company CIC for PSA Land IM guidance.
• Assisted/reported to project manager and the company CIC for PSAL and IM for making technical
decisions required for the interface plan and for controlling the project interface.
• Developed and maintained detailed activity/deliverables schedules - identifying the dates for data
exchange - for each interface point after discussion and agreement with other interfacing contractors.
• Provided and submitted interface drawings and full engineering details for each IP to other interfacing
contractors.
• Managed and maintained an index and interface query system to capture communication and
exchange of technical data and attended regular Interface meetings, as and when requested.
