Project: Integrated Park Project at Bidadari Estate
Scope: Construction of an artificial pond with pressure relief valve system, retaining walls, wetlands, and gross pollutant traps. Development of a park with marshes, ABC drainage systems, children play areas and various landscaping features.
Responsibilities and Achievements:
• Created a firm link between operation and design teams to achieve quality output with minimal abortive works
• Developing construction work pogramme as well as preparing catch-up programe for works delayed due to resource shortage
• Maintaining site safety and housekeeping at an excellent standard with zero accident or incidents
• Assisting site engineers to resolve any technical issue at the same time to achieve project milestones with reduced resources due to pandemic
• Managing on site worker quarters to ensure dormitory residents are following government regulations and liaise with authorities
• Coordinating with all stakeholders to continue site operation without any lags
Works covered: - All kind of aluminium, stainless steel and steel works, glazing works, facade works, and miscellaneous metal works (Roofing, railing, fencing, structural works for Condo and HDB Projects)

Responsibilities:
• Preparing for Authority submission, Shop drawing submission and design proposals
• Site handing over and final claim settlement
• Regular material quality inspections and material waste controlling
• Working with General Manager in distributing resources, cost controlling and planning procurement, finding new suppliers
• Training subordinates and working towards achieving efficient output
• Preparing site reports, monthly claims and VOs
• Fully in-charge of multiple projects and attending site meetings

•Planned and executed site works and communicated with consultants
•Prepared and updated project programme, method statements, etc.
Started a private small contracting firm in Sri Lanka. Mainly carrying out metal works such as fencing, gates and railing etc.

Works covered: - Structural steel works (factory buildings, various steel structures, lift upgrading projects, private houses), steel dismantling works and other steel works for government as well as private sectors

•Prepared tender and quotations, progress claims and certified subcontractor’s claims
•Prepared method statements, steel erection sequence, safety related documents(RA, SWP, Lifting Plan, Permit to Work)
•Attended site meetings and coordinated with Suppliers, Consultants, Main Contractors and Sub Contractors
•Prepared shop drawings, coordinated consultants if any discrepancies in drawings and proposed alternatives
•Arranged frequent site visits to assess and control quality of works and to address site issues and site safety

•Managed and executed simultaneous turnkey projects and achieved planned time targets and project milestones

•Took care of QA/QC documents including laboratory test reports, calibration reports, NCR register and other QA/QC documents
•Prepared concrete mix design, method statements, check lists, and ITP
•Arranged site inspection and performed quality assessments before commencing works
•Identified quality related problems, finding the root cause and proposed suitable remedies
•Coordinated with the consultant’s representative and site in-charge for inspection and held meeting to discuss quality related problems
•Prepared monthly project quality report and arranged meetings to discuss with site staffs about the quality report
Construction of DBST Road with high embankment (AFD Project, Batticaloa)
Responsibilities:
•Successfully managed and executed construction works without delay
•Daily review of each supervisor's performances with the norms and assigned supervisors duties based on their skills to optimize the output
•Coordinated with logistics manager for timely material delivery
•Managed site laboratory staff and assigned them to field and lab testing in order to achieve an efficient output with a limited resources
•Checked material for all quality related procedures to approve sources
•Performed daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required as per specifications
Construction of 178 single storey housing units including infrastructure
Construction of New 280 m long concrete bridge consisting 40 meter post tension beams
Responsibilities:
•Conducted site and laboratory testing related to road construction, post tension works and pile construction
•Prepared concrete mix designs and being In-charge of the site concrete batching plants, material stock piles
•Prepared method statements, check lists, ITP and certified test results
•Prepared company progress claims and certified subcontractor progress claims for housing project
•Involved in developing post tension stressing sequence
•Performed quantity take off and site measurements for claim purpose
•Assisted project engineer and taking charge of the site in the absence
Successfully completed BSc Eng(Hon) degree in Civil Engineering with minor in Structural Engineering achieved Second Upper Class honors
