for Safe Generations research study - ICAP Swaziland (March 2015 - March2016)
Duties included but not limited to:
Data abstraction from hospital registers
Data capturing into the study database
Monthly Report writing
Monthly presentations
Daily data backups
Computer trouble shooting/repairs
Monitoring children who are born by HIV positive women
Stock taking of ARVs
Data clerk (based at Emkhuzweni Health Centre VCT department)-ICAP Swaziland
included but were not limited to:
Visiting all government hospitals, clinics and health facilities as well as missionary health facilities around Swaziland whether rural or urban areas in order to get information about HIV/AIDS patients who had tested positive in 2011.
Abstracting data from the facilities’ databases and available registers then recorded in the forms that were created by the Swaziland
included but were not limited to:
Updating and installing software on clients computers
Computer and computer parts sales
Internet multimedia and communication - surfing the internet and setting up email addresses
Networking and Data communications - setting up local area networks and trouble shooting
Support, maintenance& computers repairs
Southern African Human Capacity Development (SAHCD) for the Ministry of Health Swaziland. The project was carried out to determine the health workers skills gaps in the four regions of the country.
Duties included but were not limited to:
Training on the data collectionfrom clinics, health centers and hospitals using face to face structured interview questions and transcribing data on response questionnaire.
Visitinggovernment hospitals, clinics and health facilities as well as missionary health facilities around Swaziland in order to get information on which specific skills were lacking in the country.
Interviewing medical cadres using some special questionnaire to scale their knowledge on some certain illnesses and diseases.
Submitting the collected information to supervisors for verification
Entering the verified information to the ministry’s database
Inputting the data using Epi-info statistic data package, a computer based application.
Protect project operations by keeping information confidential
