Project: Opera Grand Towers
Responsibilities:
• Following up and leading different departments in the project, mainly the office functions including cost, planning, procurement, engineering, quantity surveying and commercial.
• Generation of the Top Management cost and forecast reports
• Reviewing the Main Contractor Baseline program, as well as, the ones submitted by the Subcontractors and manages the coordination between them.
• Reviewing the produced Client’s Monthly, Weekly and Daily Project Reports, as well as the internal Top Level Management reports, including progress, monitoring and analyzing productivity rates and actual cost compared to budget.
• Conducting reviews and considering legal aspects of contract award & administration.
• Preparing and drafting commercial bids and tenders, estimating the costs of a project and ensuring that the costs are controlled, and finalizing Sub Contracts agreement/engagement.
• Ensure identification, documentation and submission of claims & variations and refer to all related documents to find a loophole in the contract document and claim for extra time and cost.
• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans on different levels ( Prequalification Stage, Tendering/Bidding Stage, Procurement Stage, Execution and Monitoring Stage, Project Closure and Claims stage, … etc.).
Project: Five Wall Opening Project - Skh. Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard Street, Dubai
• Following up and leading the different departments in the project, mainly the office functions including procurement, engineering and commercial.
• Generation of cost report and forecast reports.
• Preparation of the baseline program of works on primavera P6. In addition to, assigning resources, cost expenses, updating program and making recovery plans.
• Preparation of the revised programs and extension of time on primavera P6.
• Producing project reports, including progress, monitoring and analyzing productivity rates and actual cost compared to budget.
• Following up and finalizing all variation orders with the Engineer and Client Representative.
Project: Dubai Opera House, Dubai
Responsibilities:
• Following up and finalizing all pending Variation Orders with the Engineer and Client Representative.
• Finalizing of Main Contractor and All S/C’s final accounts, including all re-measurement works, variation orders, and extension of time claims with the Client representative.
• Following up with the Claim team to submit the compiled Extension of Time of the Main Contract and Sub Contract Works.
• Monitoring & Checking of programs submitted by the Subcontractors and manage the coordination between them.
• Producing Client’s Monthly, Weekly and Daily Project Reports.
• Producing all internal reports, for the top management, including progress, monitoring and analyzing productivity rates and actual cost compared to budget.
Site Section Engineer, Opera House Downtown Dubai, Dubai.
• Plan and supervise the construction activities and provide all necessary resources in terms of man-power, materials and equipment.
• Controlling and supervising the workforce assigned to the project comprising of Site Engineers, General Foremen, Foremen, Labor and S/Cs.
• Ensure approved shop drawings, materials & method statements are available and followed.
• Ensure that works are being carried out as per the project progress within the contractual requirements and within the budgeted time, cost and quality and safety standards.
• Investigating damage, accidents or delays on the construction site to find the root cause and carry out proper procedure for corrective and preventive action
• Liaison and coordination with the different departments in the project, mainly the PMV, QA/QC, Engineering, MEP, Planning, Cost Control and Procurement.
• Co-ordinate with all related sub-contractors/suppliers specially with Steel Structure S/C, MEP S/C & Finishing S/C and with Concrete, Formwork, Rebar and Finishing Materials Suppliers for the smooth flow of works.
• Producing project reports, including progress, monitoring and analyzing productivity rates.
• Preparation of the site recovery plans, concrete schedule and manpower release dates.
Control Engineer (Cost Control & Planning Engineer), Presidential Palace Project, Abu-Dhabi.
