Support Lead GIS System Engineer for the KERP PMC Projects.
Work with KERP Projects Engineers, Lead Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist and Remediation Engineer, UXO Specialist, EOD Specialist etc., on their GIS needs like data, mapping & analysis for the KERP Projects.
Perform the continuous assessment of GIS needs for the projects.
Make recommendations on how GIS and related technologies can be used to facilitate improvements in the quality of work and efficiency.
Design, build and modify complex geodatabases
Analyzing, designing and managing the implementation of KERP Projects GIS Database.
Update the GIS Management Procedure and update the GIS Procedure for Contract document.
Create the FEED design GIS maps and files for pre-bidding processes.
Collect GIS data in different resources including GPS Survey and satellite imagery to make them usable GIS data.
Maintain the KERP PMC Geodatabase, Editing, and Updating based on ISO 19115:2005.
Maintenance of the GIS PMD, uploading and QA/QC of data and reports to the systems.
Support GIS team in developing geodatabase functionality.
Use PMD to manage GIS data, analytical sample data, project documents and schedules.
Convert the CAD data into Geodatabase feature class.
Perform Geodatabase Schema Planning, Design, Migration, Performance monitoring, Security, troubleshooting, Backup and data recovery.
Centralized GIS creation and management to ensure consistency throughout project operations.
Create and maintain Metadata for Geospatial features class.
Perform the spatial analysis and creating information products from GIS and related software and subsystems.
Review the contractor submittals and works to ensure compliance with the contracts and requirements of the KERP PMC.
Verify the contractor GIS data’s and updating the KERP Geodatabase.
Perform Geospatial calculations of Distance, Area and Volume of contractor submittals.
Implement consistent and repeatable organization-wide data review processes by sharing data quality business rules between teams, client and contractors.
Perform and automate geoprocessing tasks using Python, ArcToolbox, ModelBuilder and 3rd party tools.
Assist PMC team to find the geographical locations in the field and provide project staff with mapping figures such as site location maps and aerial overlays & Obtaining GPS points in the field when necessary.

Kuwait Environmental Remediation Projects (KERP) PMC for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
Responsibilities:

Review the contractor Topographical Survey like AutoCAD Drawings, Groundtruthing Maps, SSC Reports, EDD files (EQuIS), UXO Interim Clearance Certificates, GIS Drawings, Progress monitoring maps.
Verify the contractor GIS data’s and updating the KERP Geodatabase.
Perform Geospatial calculations of Distance, Area and Volume of contractor submittals.

Geo-referencing the Point Assets of BBNL and linking with the Geo-spatial information.
Conversion of CAD data into Geodatabase and building Topology.

Mapping of optical fiber cables and other assets of BBNL.
Reporting all the data with quality checking into the Project Manager daily.
Uploading all the GIS and GPS data into the GIS web application software on daily basis.
Maintain the relationship with the client’s query’s and their suggestions, changes on timely basis.
Updating of asbuilts drawings in GIS with network elements.
Project monitoring, Co-ordination with field units and NIC.
Develop and manage GIS project proposals, resources and plans.

Managing the GIS components of projects including scope and budget preparation.
Provide complete feasibility study including needs analysis for image acquisition strategies for various types of applications.
Conduct pre-processing different image types including radiometric & geometric correction.
Perform digital image processing including: Image rectification, satellite image manipulation (mosaicking, color balancing, classification, feature extraction, band rationing), Aerial photo interpretation and data analysis.
Implements and manages image databases, maps and related products.
Conduct technical reviews of GIS systems involving imagery, and remote sensing applications.
Creating and maintaining spatial information in a variety of platforms in various GIS software packages.
Write documentation on procedures, standards and training requirements.
Creating, managing and updating the Geodatabase.
Collect GPS data and create as-built CAD drawings and conversion of Geodatabase.
Analyze and create reports and thematic maps on the data within the GIS.
