Duties:

1- Protection system coordination and settings calculation for the whole national
power grid requirements within 33 KV and 11KV level.
2- Handling daily events on the network, analyzing faults and protection trips and solving problems.
3- Functional verification of protection schemes design.
4- Participate in and leading commissioning teams for power stations, transmission and distribution substations with different voltage levels 110kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV.
5- Reviewing of technical specifications for new substations projects.
6- Performing protection coordination studies and short circuit analysis using ETAP analysis tool.
7- Performing protection system maintenance (corrective and preventive), for different voltage levels 220kV, 110kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV.
8- Acquaintance of protection technology and power system analysis.
9- Participate with team members to contribute to ongoing projects.
10- Compile statistics required to produce the power system protection annual report.

- Areva (Micom p122, p127, p142, p143, p442, p543, p632, p922…):
Configuration method: Manually & using Micom StudioS1 software.
- ABB (spaj110C, spaj140 C, spad346 C3, REF524, REF524 plus, REX521,
REL316…): Configuration method: Manually & using ABB computers
software.
- Schneider ( Sepam2000, Sepam1000, 20 series, 40 series and 80series):
Configuration method: Manually &using SFT software’s
- Siemens (Siprotec7SJ61, 7SJ62, 7UT62, 7SD62 …): Configuration method:
Manually and computer interface with Digsi software.
2- Protective Relays Testing Equipment:
- OMICRON (CMC 256, CMC 256plus, CMC 353)
- SMC (PTE 100C, PTE 50C, Monitor 12)
- ISA TRDS and TDMS software
- SVERKER 900.
3- Power System Primary Equipment Tests:
4- Transformers Tests;
- Insulation test (Testing Tool: Insulation testers ( Megger, Fluke …))
- Windings resistance test (Testing Tool: ETP - 3 (ETP system from SMC))
5- Turns Ratio (Testing Tool: ETP - 1 & TTR 3xx)
6- Short circuit impedance test (Testing Tool: ETP-4)
7- Voltage recovery tests (Testing Tool: ETP-2)
8- Testing and configuration of transformers mechanical protection (Buchhloz Relay, Pressure Relief Device, Winding &Oil Temperature Gauges)
9- Transformer primary & secondary stability test.
10- Circuit breaker opening and closing time and contact resistance testing.
11- CT's & VT's Tests.
