With a track record of the best performer, Management has promoted me as ‘Group Finance manager’. I have accepted all challenges and delivered more than the management’s expectations.
Reporting directly to CEO and MD and assist them on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to Accounts, Finance, budgets, Forecasting, New concept projection, BOD & Audit committee communication.
Major Job Responsibilities:
• Submission of monthly VAT returns for all the companies online to DZIT.
• Overseeing Finance & Account deptt. and all day to day accounting functions, month-end and year-end closing processes and consolidation of the group
• Responsible for external audit, Zakat & Tax filings
• Generating, uploading and processing of WPS files for payroll and coordinating with HR department for uploading the same to ministry website.
• Preparation of Detailed analysis along with a graphical presentation for all companies including all concepts (Restaurants).
• Preparation of monthly Dashboard for the Shareholders along with KPI’s summary.
• Periodic Reporting packages along with commentary of variance analysis of financial results to senior management and other stakeholders.
• Managing working capital, insurance plan and health coverage and maintenance of inventory and fixed assets.
• Preparation of forecasts & budgets and comparison of these with actual performance.
• Liaison with banks for securing and managing funds for new projects, renewal of facilities.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the group
Achievements:
• Awarded with “Mr. Budget” certificate in 2017.
• Actively involved in the development of Shared service department for cost reduction.
• Coordinated in implementing new ERP system (Finance, Inventory, HR & Operation Modules)
• Successfully made projections for bank to secure a STL facility of more than a SR 40M.
• Prepared and implemented Capex Control procedure.
• Managed a team of eight employees.
Al-Mathaaq Group was founded in 2009. It is owned by Al-Sulaiman group (IKEA KSA) and Asyad Group. It consists of Hospitality, Intellectual property, Catering and Real Estate Development. In addition to the various real estate projects the group currently own and operate a number of fine dining restaurants both under third party franchise agreements as well as its own brands.

Major Job responsibilities were:
- Responsible for the development of business plans, projections and strategies with in-depth financial analysis.
- Lead the annual budget-building processes as well as quarterly forecast updates for all companies including restaurants.
- Responsible for financial results to CFO, MD and internal/external stakeholders including review, analysis, changes in capital, Capex reporting and KPI's.
- Responsible for providing financial support to Adhoc projects; operations and financial reviews,
- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing procedures, accounting policies and supervision of the accounting team.
- Responsible for external audit, Coordinating with auditors for monthly and annual Zakat & Tax filings
- Periodic Reporting packages along with the commentary of variance analysis of financial results to senior management and board of directors.
Achievements:
• Awarded with best performance award for the year 2013.
• Developed three-dimensional Financial Models for more than eighty restaurants in five companies group.
• Created templates for zero-based budgets and developed detailed monthly and annual budgets.
• Worked without CFO and proved myself by introducing different cost cutting procedures and
policies and got distinction.
• Developed a comprehensive five companies accounting and reporting structure including chart of
accounts for all companies of Al-Mathaaq group.
Audit planning
Development of general strategy, detailed audit plan, and audit programs.
Making detailed time budgets and coordinating with the staff to meet the reporting deadlines.
Application of new technical pronouncements and identifying areas of potential risk.
Coordination and management
Delegating work to the staff, performing reviews and giving appropriate directions for the conduct of work.
Addressing and resolving significant accounting and auditing issues rose.
System evaluation, documentation and risk management
Obtaining an understanding of accounting and internal control systems.
Assessing the control risk at a preliminary stage.
Identifying weaknesses, addressing risk and giving suggestions to improve the internal control system.
Identifying critical risks faced by business and discussing mitigating factors thereof with management.
Corporate business and financial reporting
Complying with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing.
Preparing reports on financial results for submission to management.
Preparing annual financial statements for statutory purposes.
Preparing financial statements of retirement benefits funds.
Detailed verification and fieldwork
Obtaining sufficient appropriate audit evidence through substantive and analytical procedures and physical stock counts.
Corporate and secretarial practices
Reviewing minutes of meetings of the board of directors, managing committee and audit committee and maintenance of statutory books.
Reviewing compliance with the statutory requirements and the Code of Corporate Governance (COCG).
Incorporation of various companies.
Taxation and allied matters
Preparing tax computations, tax status and deferred tax of clients.
Major Role :
• Day to day book-keeping on projects;
• Preparation of suppliers schedules, bank transfers/cheques;
• Preparation of Bank reconciliation, financial plans and budgets of the projects; and
• Responsible for making variance analysis and providing assistance to finance manager in external
audit.
