Co-piloting and controlling the business division of Water division of Nestle Pakistan having annualized revenue of PKR 10 billion.
Water Business in Pakistan is consisting of three factories, having it’s own “home delivery” distribution network along with 3rd party distributors in general. Spearheading strategy with Executive Management and business leaders to ensure delivery.
Co-piloting the largest factory for the Zone and one of the top ten factories globally with annual cost of production of PKR 55 billion.
Architected an operational model to support the business in the volatile economic situation through entrepreneurial mind-set which delivered savings of PKR 1.6 billion in two years
Upgraded and implemented the appropriate system of self-assessment, internal controls and procedures which led to achieve the flawless operations leading to successful local and international audits
Fostered a high performance and empowered finance team for future talent pipeline. The team eventually ensured to bring quality of forecast, risk analysis and mitigation plans and effective controls
Pioneered initiatives to identify new ways of working leading to automation of production lines worth savings of PKR 140 million
- Handling and managing compliance, procedural and legal matters of Income Tax, Sales Tax and Federal Excise.
- Regular assessments of the company’s tax profile.
- Preparing and presenting information before the tax authorities which form the basis of assessment of company’s tax liabilities.
- Conducting knowledge sharing sessions, compliance reviews and workshop for our non-financial managers.
- Responsible for preparation of Management Accounts on Company’s/statutory format & monthly reports for management.
- Funds placement in different instruments with various institutions by negotiating competitive rates, continuous monitoring of short term & long term investments.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Projects Monitoring, deviations Identifications and timely corrective measures.
- Ensure closing of accounting books in accordance with HO provided guidelines and time lines.
- Ensure timely provision of information to Tax department for tax calculation.
- Optimization and standardization of accounting processes.
- Responsible for managing the whole accounting segment of the company.
Supervision and verification of payables related to stores.
Supervision of cyclic and annual stock takes.
Supervisory control & management reporting on shrinkage & wastage.
Supervision and control of local and imported procurement of trading goods.
Supervision and verification of purchases & payables related to stores.
Gross profit derivation at month ends and management reporting.
Annually, monthly and quarterly reporting to local and foreign management.
Supervision of reconciliation of closing stocks, purchases and sales at month end.
Coordination with Sr. Accounting Manager and tax personnel for preparation of monthly input & output tax returns.
Monthly & Annually Sales & Expense budgets planning.
Daily analysis of sales & profit / (Loss) margins and its reporting to management.
Capital Expenditure & its Budget reporting.
Dealing with all sort of insurance activities.
MIS Development.
Variance analysis of Financial statements (Actual vs. Budget).
Assisting Treasury & Planning Manager in development of new investment proposals (IPs) for new store sites.
Preparation of weekly Profit & Loss statement for the monthly projection of Sales, Margins, & Operating costs.
Preparation of daily fact sheet for the financial position of the company.
Annual Budget & Investment Planning & Analysis of different options pertaining in capital market.
Preparation of financial schedules at the time of year end closing and statutory audit.
Checking the validation of payments and receipts.
Dealing with activities of Reconciliation of bank statements.
Preparation of Cash Flow statements for monetary and statutory purposes.
Dealing with all activities of Insurance Dealing with certain activities related to salaries & wages.
