Responsibilities:
Fulfilling the two Job requirements for the company as Project technical Engineer for design issues and as Aramco Approved Electrical Inspector for Site Activities.
Perform RFI inspections according to approved documents.
Perform inspections for all electrical installations, testing and commissioning activities according to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), Engineering Procedures (SAEP), Typical Inspection Plan (SATIP), Inspection Check List (SAIC),
Responsible for providing technical advice and direction to internal engineering functions.
Responsible to review and prepare all Electrical/Telecom shop drawings based on IFC design drawing for construction and get client approval.
Reviewing all technical submittals to be submitted for client approval.
Raising Technical Queries to design consultant and client.
Solve technical issues related to procurement and material.
Solve technical issues related to drawings, Check for clashes and coordinate with other departments to prepare coordination drawings.
Provide all necessary documents and drawings to procurement and vendors.
Request design consultant to provide all necessary drawings and documents.
Familiar with NEC, SAES, SAMSS, IEC, IEEE, BS etc.
Checking drawings for accuracy and errors.
Control and maintain the design standard.
Writing professional progress reports for project managers, technical manager.
Providing design support at all stages of the design process.
Considering issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
Prepare Bill of Quantities and Material Take off (MTO).
Attend meetings with design consultant and client related to design and drawing issues.
Prepare Red Marked Drawings based on site conditions and to implement changes in As-Built drawings.
Report to Project Manager for Daily Site activities.
Owner's Engineer for SWCC, The combined cycle co-generation power and desalination plant with the capacity of 2'400 MW net power output and 380KV GIS Substation with 16 Bays (SEC Client)
Responsibilities:
Review and give comments/answer to technical query raised by EPC.
Review and give comments to materials submittal submitted by EPC.
Review of field revision change request from EPC.
Perform RFI inspections according to approved documents.
Monitor electrical construction activities, advising EPC and sub-contractor relating to implementation.
Review and follow up to EPC the daily construction schedule if it meets the master schedule.
Monitor the status of equipment’s and materials delivery including the works progress on site against work schedule.
Review and approve of electrical engineering drawings and documents including studies and calculations submitted by EPC contractor.
Give advice to EPC regarding the priority activities to avoid conflict with other discipline.
Verification of electrical installation on site including building works and process area and identify any issues.
Perform Walk down at site with contractor for Erection Clearance Certificate and give punch list for discrepancies.
Review of progress reports submitted by EPC
Review of mechanical completion check records for completeness and accuracy using project completion system.
Coordination with EPC related to electrical issue that needs to be done to meet the project requirements and specification.
Inspection and verification of punch list items prior to issuance of hand over certificate and livening up notice to contractor.
Issue the surveillance report and non-conformance report to contractor.
Review electrical drawings and documents submitted by contractor.
Review and approval of electrical inspection and test plan, quality control procedures and method statement.
Monitor the Installation, testing and commissioning of power/distribution transformers, LV/MV switchgears, Motor control centers, LV/MV motors, compact substation, Generators and Automatic transfer switch.
Review and approval of materials to be used by contractor.
Managing construction activities carried out by contractors, ensuring the scope of work is achieved in accordance with contract requirements and time frame, and in compliance with specifications and standards established.
Review of Technical bid evaluation for electrical equipment & materials.
Reporting to Project Manager for discrepancies for information
Attend the (daily/weekly) Site meetings with the contractor whenever asked to do so.

Electrical Engineer for the Joint venture of Sahara Petrochemicals and Ma'aden (SAMAPCO), the output of the plant is Caustic Soda and Ethylene dichloride. Project includes 34.5KV Substation and Low voltage distribution system.
• Conduct site inspection/surveillance for all on-going construction activities, Materials and Equipment received on site prior to installation on regular basis to make sure that all installation are as per approved for construction drawings, project specification and is conforming to the latest version of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standard, NEC, IEC and other applicable industry codes and standards.
• Preparing Method Statements, Quality Control Procedure, Inspection Test Plans and related forms as per Projects requirements.
• Responsible for the identification, investigation and issuance related Reports to construction group to determine the root causes of non-conforming items & guide construction group the initiative corrective actions to prevent repetition of non-conformities.
• Review subcontractor or supplier quality document submittals to ensure effective controls are in place in key areas.
• Check and review construction/installation sketches and drawings, ensure that the sketches/drawings conform to the project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with the companies discipline engineers for the resolution of technical discrepancies; coordinate with management for quality improvements.
• Coordinates with the client representatives on matters involving quality assurance and control activities.
• Prepares and submits Request for Inspection (RFI) on completed works to clients for approval.
• Report on daily inspection and testing activities and Issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on works that deviates standards and design specifications.
• Identifying and recording quality problems and opportunities for improvement, and Initiating or recommending solutions.
• Preparing the Quality assurance plan and various checklist as per IE acts & rules

• Ensure all work to comply in accordance with approved drawings and company standards.

• Earthing works for Electrical, Instrument & Mechanical Equipment’s
• Monitor and inspection of equipment’s which are installed (distribution system) to ensure the continuous power supply.
• Ensure work complies with project standards and specifications which involve inspection and checks for installations of conduits, cable trays and cable pulling and testing cables and all relative electrical works.
• Perform and supervise the testing of all electrical devices grounding systems, cable Insulation test, and Hi-pot test.
• Perform inspections for Solo-Run test for MV and LV motors.
• Monitor electrical equipment erection / inspection activity according to QA/QC procedures.
• Report on daily inspection and testing activities and Issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on works that deviates standards and design specifications.
• Verify the equipment, devices and materials used in the project meets the required specifications as per Standard and in accordance with project specification / Standard procedures.
• Monitor the underground installations and inspection of the burial depth and spacing requirements to adjacent installations and inspection prior to backfilling.
