I lead team members in executing organizational strategic policies. My role is exceptional in arranging and managing internal project review meetings and delivering inputs regarding commissioning operations. I am responsible for managing the overall operations of protection and control engineering tasks, including conducting analysis of customer engineering documents, developing test formats, preparing scoping documents, executing the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) of substation products, and supporting troubleshooting activities.
Following are some key contributions from this position:
➢ Executed testing & commissioning of all types of Grid Equipment (Power Transformers, Switchgears, Protection relays, CT, VT, Circuit Breaker, Meters, Capacitor Banks, Shunt Reactors, and Cables) to improve overall system efficiency.
➢ Carried out analysis of Protection Relays setting and calculations.
➢ Formulated and delivered test reports to customers after completion of testing and witnessing process.
➢ Served in energized S/S while upgrading, retrofitting, and maintaining without causing interruption to an existing system by following HSE rules and regulations.
➢ Educated and mentored team members to enhance individual performance.
➢ Played a pivotal role in researching project quality needs, method of statements, and generating Non-conformance reports.
➢ Supported in developing proposals regarding engineering projects such as the provision of bills of materials and projected engineering hours.
The Project Electrical Engineer role was another good opportunity for me where I developed inclusive field insights. Here I was accountable for managing project execution, construction, and commissioning related services. I also conducted an analysis of various plannings, drawings, and quantities for the accuracy of calculations. My role was exceptional in leading contract design documents as well as co-ordinated with key consultants and EPC contractors of the project. In this role where I served as a Trainee Engineer, my major objective was to streamline end-to-end facets of shutdown activities of substations including protection relays and circuit breakers. My exceptional leadership skills enable me to provide proactive direction and vision to the organization. My role was remarkable in carrying out shutdown activities including MV Panel Wiring Checks, and CT & VT testing. I also conducted protection relays testing in accordance with applied settings as well as Vacuum Interrupter testing of 11KV circuit breakers. I also implemented Relay settings to isolate and separate circuits
My major contributions include:
➢ Oversaw 11KV Switchgears wiring to maintain operational workflow.
➢ Served as trainee engineer to provide support to Assistant Engineer (P&I) Sub-division MEPCO regarding the shutdown activities of 66KV/ 132KV grid stations.
Electrical Engineer with specialization in Power Subjects (Power System Protection, Power Plant Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Power System Analysis and Design, Power Generation and Transmission) and strong software skills ETAP, MATLAB, and Mitsubishi FX-Trainer (for programming of PLCs). Final Year Project:- Simulation-Based Impulse-Testing of a Distribution Transformer: The aim of this project is to analyze the faults which distribution transformer experiences when it is subjected to lightning strikes. It involves modeling and simulation of impulse generator connected with the high frequency model of the respective power equipment (Distribution Transformer). The simulated results are compared with the practical results obtained from the Industry.
