Ensures project requirements and expectations are met with regards to craft and supervisory performance, direct hire
craft productivity and performance and/or reporting on Subcontractors performance. Ensures adherence by all
discipline craft, Subcontractor’s to safety, quality, schedule and performance expectations as defined by Black and
Veatch. Provides craft supervisors with information and technical direction required to complete project safely, timely
and in a quality manner. Ensures schedule and project expectations are clearly defined to craft supervisors and
Subcontractors. Ensures schedule requirements are communicated to all levels of craft discipline and/or Supervision.
Coordinate interpretation of technical requirements. Provides technical data and informations as required to direct
hire workforce subcontractor supervision or Construction Engineers. Ensures compliance by workforce or
subcontractor to all standards, procedures and contractual commitments within the bounds of all applicable policies.
For Union Projects - Responsible for ensuring that the daily project execution is in line with the Black & Veatch
National Maintenance and Project Labor Union Agreements. Responsible for understanding all Local Union agreements
for the project. Responsible for establishing a working relationship with the Local Union BA and the Local Union Site
Job Steward. Responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted workflow at union interface points. Has ability and expertise
to stand in for the construction manager during absence from site if requested. Has ability to comprehend overall
project schedule with regards to requirements of other disciplines or subcontractors requirements. May have
responsibility for safety and quality requirements on site if required. Has ability and responsibility to mentor and train
other discipline superintendents. Capable of recommending training and development needs for the trainees.
Setting up the project quality management system for the company by preparing a detailed project quality plan
to achieve client satisfaction. Monitor, review and amend the quality plan at regular intervals to drive continuous
improvement. Ensuring quality management system is understood and implemented within the company through
quality inductions, workshops and trainings. Monitor the company’s quality performance with respect to the
approved project quality plan
Regularly monitor, review and improve on the company’s quality management system by monitoring the
established internal KPIs (key performance indicators). Presenting the KPI statistics in the monthly meetings to
drive the required improvements by establishing the root cause for lagging KPIs. Generating internal quality
reports to the management at regular intervals providing them the project quality performance
Raise internal NCRs (non-conformance reports) and CARs (corrective action reports). Performing “Root Cause
Analysis” for the non-conformance reports generated for evaluation and implementing corrective/preventive
measures for process and systems
Attend to and ensure timely close outs of audits NCRs raised by client. Ensure that the corrective actions are
implemented within the system for improvement
Prepare and execute audits within the company as per audit schedule established in the project quality plan.
Distribute the audit findings and ensure timely close out of the non-conformances and observations. Carry out
follow up audits to verify the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken.
Regular reporting to the client on critical quality issues and quality performance of the contractor and the
company using established KPIs (key performance indicators). Raise quality alerts in the reports for any potential
quality concerns. Monitoring the project’s KPIs through Statistical Process Control for continual improvement and
revising the same in line with the company’s quality objectives
Coordinating with different internal disciplines like MEP, technical, architectural including the contractor for the
quality related issues.
Act as a line of communication between the client and the contractor. Attend client meetings and chair meetings
with the contractor to regularly discuss and solve quality issues pertaining to the project.
Take proactive measure to issue quality alerts foreseeing potential quality concerns and thus mitigate project
risks.
Impart internal quality training as per the established training schedule to raise quality awareness in order to
drive the continuous improvement of the QMS and effectiveness of interrelated processes.
Monitoring and reviewing the project close out process as per the approved procedures to ensure systematic
hand over of the project

Review and approve the quality submittals of the contractor including the contract quality plan, method

standards. As a client representative monitor, review and analyze the quality performance of the contractor by

Process Control” for continual improvement and revising the same in line with the client’s quality objectives
Monitoring the inspection and test plan of the contractor to ensure the witness and hold points are correctly
defined. Make regular site audits and walk around to verify the compliance of executed works by the contractor
to the set quality standards and benchmarks
Ensuring that the contractor is raising the material approvals and material inspections as per the approved
inspection and test plan. Monitoring the testing and reviewing the test results along with the technical team for
compliance
Prepare and execute audits on the contractor and the supply chain as per audit schedule established in the
project quality plan. Perform compliance and TPS (technical/process/system) audits on the contractor and their
respective supply chain to drive continuous improvement. Monitor and review the effectiveness of the audits
performed by the contractor. Drive continuous improvement of the systems by conducting regular trainings to
execute preventive actions. Issuing non-conformance reports to the contractor and follow on the timely close
outs.
Conduct quality workshops for the contractor’s site teams to increase awareness and drive the concept of “Right
First Time”. Imparting training to subcontractors on various works to ensure that the work adheres to the Method
Statements and ITPs
